Liebert Chips Up

With the board showing {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and about 2,300 already in the pot, the first player to act checked, then Kathy Liebert unhesitatingly pushed out a bet of 1,500. Her opponent considered for a moment, then let it go.

Liebert has 4,600 here in the latter part of Level 2.

Bronshtein Straightens Out

On a board reading {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} Yuval Bronshtein moved his last 2,200 into the pot with his opponent making the call.

"Set of sevens" Bronshtein was asked before he tabled his {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to have a combo draw and a pair against his opponent's {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

The river landed the {8-Spades} to complete one of Bronshtein's draws, as he doubled up to 6,000 in chips.

No Club for Sorel

Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

With around 1,500 in the pot and the board reading {10-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Sorel Mizzi was faced with a 700-chip bet.

Taking his time to contemplate a decision, Mizzi raised it up to 2,300, only to have his opponent move all in for a further 400. Mizzi made the call and we were off to a showdown.

Mizzi: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

With Mizzi needing a club to eliminate his opponent, he would unfortunately see the {9-Hearts} land on the river to send him down to 1,400 in chips.

Ramirez Flushed With Chips

On a board of {10-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} Senovio Ramirez was faced with a bet of 600, and consequently followed it with an all in for 1,875.

Ramirez's opponent made the call tabling {A-Spades}{K-Spades} while Ramirez had a draw holding his {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Fortunately for Ramirez the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn to complete his flush, and once the {5} landed on the river, he doubled through to 5,500 in chips.

Le Leaves Us

Nam Le
Nam Le

Shortly after that last hand in which Nam Le slipped to 1,700, he was involved in another in which he (big blind) and another player (early position) had begun to build a pot preflop. The flop then came {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-}, and the pair got the rest of Le's chips in.

Le held {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for a diamond draw while his opponent had {J-}{10-}. No diamond, ace, or king came to save Le, and he became an early elimination.

Nam Slips

On a board reading {J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, Nam Le checked the action over to his opponent who fired out 400.

Le made the call as the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river and Le took the lead by firing out just 100.

His opponent quickly looked him up tabling his {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} to best Le's {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} as he slipped to 1,700 in chips.

Moneymaker No More

You ain't smiling no more!
You ain't smiling no more!

With 575 in the pot, Chris Moneymaker fired out 325 after it was checked to him by two opponents on a flop of {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The first passed, but the second raised it enough to put Moneymaker all in. The 2005 WSOP Champion obliged for his last 825 and we were off to a showdown.

Moneymaker: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Opponent: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Moneymaker he would be drawing dead when the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn before the meaningless {K-Diamonds} peeled on the river.

"Good luck everyone!" he uttered as he quietly left the table.
