JJ Joins The Field
After just bubbling the $25,000 Six-Handed Event, John Juanda has taken up his seat in this tournament for what we believe is the first time today. He's down to 23,000 and has some work ahead of him.
Oops For Schoenberg
With a raise to 5,000 in front of her on a flop of , Erica Schoenberg decided to raise it up to 13,000 from middle position. Matt Vengrin made the call as the third player folded.
That's when things got a little weird. Schoenberg was wearing headphones and obviously thought Vengrin had raised rather than called, as Schoenberg moved all of her chips into the middle and opened her cards to reveal for top set and straight draw.
"Woah!" cried Vengrin, "I only called!"
The floor was called and we assume Vengrin was allowed to see a turn card, but he was able to get away cheap as he folded.
"You would've got action too!" said Vengrin as he flashed for straight and flush draws.
Schoenberg is at 38,000.
Nice Turn For Obrestad
Catching the action on the turn on a board of the action checked to Annette Obrestad who fired 5,700. Her opponent called and then checked the river. Obrestad fired 12,700 and once again her opponent called.
Obrestad opened for a full house, aces full of nines, as her opponent showed for kings full of aces.
Obrestad is up to 58,000.
Hellmuth Gets What He Wants
Jose Barbero raised from the cutoff, and the button called. "You again?" Phil Hellmuth said as he called in the big blind. "No, it's a different me," Barbero responded. The flop fell , and Hellmuth bet out 3,500. Barbero called and the button folded. Both players checked the turn. "Six!" Hellmuth called. And the heard its name and appeared on the river. Hellmuth bet 3,800, and after a minute, Barbero folded. Hellmuth showed him for two pair.

Another Break?
After originally stating that there would be NO break at the end of the level to color up chips, it appears that this decision has been reversed. We're taking an unscheduled ten-minute break while the green 25-denomination chips are removed from play.
Spindler Spun Out
Benny Spindler moved all in on the turn of a board. His opponent called to put him at risk.
Spindler:
Opponent:
The river didn't complete Spindler's flush draw, and he left us just before the break.
Nacho Snacks on Tran's Stack
Jose Nacho Barbero raised to 1,500, and both blinds called him to see a flop. JC Tran checked his small blind, Kathy Liebert checked the big, and Barbero bet 4,100. Tran quickly moved all in for about 8,000. Liebert folded, and Barbero called.
Tran: for bottom two pair
Barbero: for top two pair
Barbero thought he was drawing and after the on the turn needed the river, but he quickly realized he'd made a boat and been ahead the whole time. He accumulated Tran's stack to move up to 41,000. "To be honest with you, I didn't even know I had two pairs," he said. "I'm calling anyway. It was just an extra 4k."
Set Over Set For Men
With a raise to 1,500 from the hijack, Men Nguyen made the call in the small blind to see a flop of . Nguyen led out with a bet of 2,000 before his opponent made it 7,000 to go. Nguyen made the call.
The turn was the and both players checked, before again checking the river.
Men flashed -X-X for a set but his opponent held for a bigger set. Nguyen is back to 57,500 and not in a particularly good mood.
