The players have finished the first two levels of the day and are on a 20-minute break. We'll post full chip counts for the remaining field shortly after the players return from their walkabouts.

No Danz-ing Around These Poels

From the button, Pat Poels raised. George Danzer reraised from the small blind and Poels called. Danzer drew two and Poels drew one. Danzer checked, Poels bet and Danzer called.

On the second draw, both players drew one each and then checked. On the third draw, both players took one each again. Danzer check-folded to a bet from Poels and dropped to 2,300 chips. Poels increased to 59,000. Shortly thereafter, Danzer was busted.

Buchanan Bucked Out of Here

Shawn Buchanan raised from middle position, John Monnette reraised from the small blind and then Raymond Davis called from the big blind. Buchanan then raised all in for 3,800 and both his opponents called.

On the first draw, Monnette drew three, Davis drew two and Buchanan drew two. Monnette then check-called a bet from Davis.

On the second draw, Monnette drew two, Davis drew one and Buchanan drew two. Monnette checked, Davis bet and Monnette folded, leaving Davis heads up with the all-in Buchanan.

Davis stood pat for the third draw with his {9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Buchanan drew one. He showed a {6-} and then mucked his other cards before exiting to the rail. Davis improved to 32,000.

Kostritsyn Draws Paint

Jameson Painter and Alexander Kostritsyn capped the action pre-draw and then both drew one card. Painter checked-called a bet from Kostritsyn before each player drew one apiece on the second draw as well. Painter check-called again.

On the third draw, both players drew one and then checked after. Kostritsyn showed the {Q-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and beat Painter who held a pair of sevens in his hand. Painter has 72,000 chips and Kostritsyn 29,600.

Team PokerStars Pros vs. Joes

George Danzer - one of the fallen
George Danzer - one of the fallen

It's not been a good level for the Team PokerStars Pros. Barry Greenstein was eliminated in one of the first hands back, and Bill Chen has followed him out the door just a few minutes after. And now, looking up across the floor, we see George Danzer also making his departure. The eliminations of those three sponsored players leaves our field absent any more Team PokerStars Pros.

Let's Hear Some Chatter Out There

Raymond Davis just shot out of his chair and started doing some stretches behind his chair. He started jumping up and down in place, and he caught the eye of Jeffrey Lisandro at an adjacent table.

"Come on, Jeff!" Davis half-yelled. "You gotta win four this year." Lisandro barely looked up from the hand he was observing at his table. "If you don't win four this year," Davis continued, still jumping, "the Series is going to be a disappointment." A slight smirk from Lisandro. "If you don't get four, you gotta give me ten thousand," Davis finished the barrage. Lisandro, now wide-eyed, glanced at Davis and shook his head, returning to the hand in progress at his own table as Davis sat back down at his.

We walked a bit further to hear Allen Kessler getting a bit excited about a hand taking place on one of the final tables across the room. Kessler could see the action on the big screen, and he recounted it for his table. "King-queen-rag flop. One guy has ace-king, the other one flops a set of queens. How is nobody cheering over there?!" The table gave a bit of a shrug, and Kessler picked James Meehan to repeat the story to again. Meehan wasn't really paying attention. "I've seen so many flops, I don't really care any more." End of conversation.

In other table talk news, Justin "BoostedJ" Smith has parked himself in between Huck Seed and Eli Elezra at one of the near tables, and the three men have been engaged in a very animated conversation for about 15 minutes now.

Apart from those three bits of chatter, things are mostly quiet in our corner of the Amazon Room right now.
