Morgan Gains a Massive Stack

We recently reported on a hand where Daniel Morgan took a large number of chips from Sorel Mizzi. Morgan certainly has not slowed down since that hand.

Although we missed the action, on a ten-high flop Morgan and Jean-Robert Bellande ended up all in for a massive amount of chips with Bellande's pocket jacks trailing to Morgan's pocket aces. The aces held and Bellande, who started the day second in chips, was eliminated from the tournament.

Shortly thereafter Morgan finished off the short-stacked Mizzi when the two got all the chips in preflop.

Mizzi: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Morgan: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Morgan's two pair sent Mizzi to the rail.

After all these hands were completed Morgan's stack was a towering 455,000, making him our chipleader.
