Mizrachi Grinded Down

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Michael Mizrachi entered today with just 4,700 in chips, so he would need an early double up. When action folded aroudn to him on the button, he raised, but Dan Kelly reraised in the big blind. Mizrachi decided to make a stand, and went all in, with Kelly instantly calling.

Mizrachi: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Kelly: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Mizrachi was in about as bad a shape as you can be in, and any shot at a miracle flush or trip sevens virtually went out the door when the flop came {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The turn brought the {9-Spades} and the river was the {8-Spades}, and Kelly scored the knockout, sending Mizrachi to the rail.
