No Back-to-Back for Gordon

Level 15

Last year's champion Ian Gordon has just been bumped to the rail.

Stud-8

Ian Gordon two-bet on third before finding himself all in on fourth against Chris Tryba and Eric Conti. Conti led the betting on every street thereafter with Tryba making the call before seventh was checked down.

Tryba: (X)(X) / {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} / (X)
Gordon: (X)(X) {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} / (X)
Conti: (X)(X) / {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds} / (X)

With Gordon's {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} no match for Conti's {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Gordon was sent to the rail as Conti moved to 145,000 in chips.

Juanda Doubles

Stud

John Juanda: (X)(X) / {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts} (X)
Jacobo Fernandez: (X)(X) / {5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} / (X)

We came in on fifth street when John Juanda bet 10,000 and was called by Jacobo Fernandez. Juanda bet sixth street and Fernandez again called. Juanda then bet seventh before it was even dealt and was only left with 5,000 behind. Fernandez thought about it but eventually made the call.

Juanda showed {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a pair of kings and that was good for him to double up to around 90,000. Fernandez fell to around 100,000 after the hand
