We are down to just 35 players left in Event #40: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em/ Six Handed. Phil Helmuth was eliminated in 36th place making it his third cash of this series. He previously cashed in the $10,000 Seven Card Hi/Lo Championship taking down 2nd place for $273,233 and the $10,000 No-Limit Deuce to Seven Draw Championship taking down 2nd place for $226,907. His cash today gives him another $17,270 to add to his winnings. Hellmuth is currently leading the Player of the Year race.

Other notables in the field are Daniel Negreanu who seems to be adjusting well to the six-handed format. Last year he placed 11th the $25,000 six-handed event. This is his second cash of the series having cashed in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout for $4,998 in 59th place.

The defending World Series of Poker Champion Jonathan Duhamel is still a contendor to take down the bracelet. He sits with around 250,000 in chips and is seated at a table with Negreanu and Shane Schleger. Duhamel cashed in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event earlier this summer when he took 54th for $9,738.

Another November Niner still in the field is Matthew Jarvis, who sits near the top of the leader board with over 650,000 in chips. This will be Jarvis' first cash in the series this summer and is guaranteed to take home $12,270.

There are also many online notables such as Justin Filtz, Nick Maimone, Daniel Hirleman, Taylor Paur, and Brendon Rubie. We still have two more levels of play for the night before we come back for day three.
