Bad Bluff for Laak

Level 9 : 300/600, 150 ante

We don't know how it happened, but we saw Phil Laak packing up his IPad and leaving the Amazon room. All he had to say was, "Hey PokerNews, I bluffed it off, write that down."

So... we wrote that down... and now we're here... minus the Unabomber.

David "Bakes" Baker Gone

Level 9 : 300/600, 150 ante

Last year's $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball World Championship Winner David "Bakes" Baker is out of the tournament.

He went all in was called by Dario Alioto for his last 6,000 or so.

Bakes drew 1, Alioto drew 2. Bakes showed {J-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} but that wasn't good enough to beat Alioto's {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}. Alioto moves up to around 25,000

Seiver Folds His Nine

Level 10 : 400/800, 200 ante

In a three way, Stuart Rutter fired out 4,000 after the draw and Daniel Smith made the call while Scott Seiver tanked, eventually folding what he said was a nine-seven-six. Rutter turned over {9-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and Smith mucked giving more chips to one of the two remaining Brits in the field.

Dan Kelly Doubles

Level 10 : 400/800, 200 ante

Samuel Gerber raised under the gun to 2,200, Dan Kelly shipped all in from early position for 10,725 and Gerber called.

Both were drawing one, Gerber had {8-}{7-}{6-}{2-} and drew a {K-} while Kelly had {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and drew a {8-} for the win and to double up to 23,000. Gerber was left with around 13,000 after the hand

Poker Legend Billy Baxter Beat At His Own Game

Level 10 : 400/800, 200 ante

Billy Baxter has long been considered the king of 2-7 Draw Lowball. Dating back to 1975, Baxter has won five bracelets in the game and is still a regular high stakes cash player. But, today was not the day he won his 8th bracelet (6th in 2-7) as he was knocked out by our now massive chip leader George "Jorj95" Lind III.

We don't know how the pre-draw action went down, but Baxter was all in for his last 13,000 and Lind had made the call. Baxter showed {9-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, a premium hand in 2-7, but it couldn't beat the {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} of Lind and Baxter hit the rail.

After that hand Lind is now up to 103,000 which is good for a huge chip lead at this point in the tournament.
