David Williams has just been eliminated, which brought us down to the magic number of 126. Since they are within one table of the money bubble they will play until the money. Hopefully, it will be inside the next 26 minutes.
When we got to the table, AP Phahurat was all in for over 20,000 preflop holding , and he was in great shape, as his opponent showed . The flop came down , and Phahurat stayed out in front. The hit the turn, which didn't change anything, as neither player had diamonds. The river came the , and despite their being a four card straight on board, Phahurat's lone pair of aces was good enough to ship him the pot worth 44,000.
So we came rushing up to the table when we saw about seven players standing up around it. We don't know the preflop action but the result was three players were all in and had their cards tabled.
Fabio Breitfuss:
Dave James:
Unknown:
The board ran and James was the shortest stack and tripled up, the unknown player was busted and Breitfuss took the large sidepot.
The frantic pace set in the earlier eight levels has slowed down considerably. Players were busting faster than we could keep up with and tables were disappearing. With both the money bubble and the end of the day looming we're thinking making the money is about a 50/50 chance at this point.
Matt Maggard is currently second in chips with over 115,000. But as tables have broken he's gotten the short end of the stick of player's moving to his table. Seated directly on his left are Michael Binger, JP Kelly and Vitaly Lunkin.
Maggard has to be aware that three sharks are eyeing his tall chip stack.
We didn't catch the exact preflop action, but we saw that Terrence chance got the rest of his 12,000ish stack in preflop with . He was in great shape, as his opponent showed . The flop came down , and his opponent was drawing dead to runner runner. The didn't help at all, and the meaningless river was the , giving Chan an unnecessary flush.
We found this hand at the river with a board of and Ryan Tepen had checked. Tristan Wade bet 12,500 and Tepen had a short tank before he announced call.
