Kenney Makes Flush and Eliminates Katchalov

Andy Bloch: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Eugene Katchalov: {x-}{x-} / {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Bryn Kenney: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} / {x-}
Justin Smith: {x-}{x-} / {4-Spades}{K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} / {x-}

Eugene Katchalov fired a bet on fifth street with a pair of queens showing and Bryn Kenney called behind him. Justin Smith then called while Bloch and the other opponent folded.

On sixth street, Katchalov checked and Kenney fired a bet. Smith called and then Katchalov called. When Katchalov made the call, he had just 1,100 behind. On seventh, Katchalov checked again and Kenney bet. Smith called and then Katchalov called all in for less.

"I have a flush," said Kenney and rolled over the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. His ace-high diamond flush was the best high hand from the three and no one could beat it. He also had the low and scooped the entire pot. Katchalov was eliminated on the hand.

Scott Scoops Benyamine

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
Benyamine: {x-}{x-} / {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Spades} / {x-}
Scott: {x-}{x-} / {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} / {x-}

David Benyamine was the bring in and it folded around to Drew Scott who completed. Benyamine called and then bet both fourth and fifth street. When Benyamine bet out on sixth, Scott put out a raise and Benyamine called. After seventh, Benyamine checked and Scott bet, prompting a final call from Benyamine.

"Three queens," said Scott, showing {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Benyamine picked up his hand and threw it away, allowing Scott to scoop the pot.

Fives No Good For Ivey

Ivey: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} / {x-}

We picked up the action on fifth street to see Phil Ivey bet out and his opponent call. Lather, rinse, repeat on both sixth and seventh.

"Pair of fives," Ivey said after his opponent called the final bet.

His opponent flipped up {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair and was able to scoop the pot.

Tryba Eliminated by Kenney

Chris Tryba
Chris Tryba

Chris Tryba began the day as chip leader, but after "five hours of not making a hand" has been eliminated. Bryn Kenney did the honors and looks to have taken the chip lead.

Tryba was all in on fifth street with the {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. He was up against Kenney's {K-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

On sixth street, Tryba pulled a {10-Spades} and then a {9-Spades} on seventh. Kenney got the {A-Spades} on sixth and the {10-Diamonds} on seventh. Tryba couldn't make a low and only had a pair of nines for the high. Kenney made a pair of aces for the high and won the pot to send Tryba to the rail.

Brunson Gets Low

Brunson: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{2-Spades} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} / {x-}

After drawing a pair of fives on fourth street, Brunson's opponent bet and Brunson took a moment before throwing out a call. The other player in the hand folded and then Brunson took control of the aggression, betting on fifth and sixth. The hands were tabled after both players checked seventh.

"Aces up," said Brunson.

His opponent did not reply, but rather flipped up {5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for trip fives. Brunson picked up his hand and looked at all seven with a dejected glare, then tossed them into the muck.

Battle of the Chads

We got to the table to see Chad Brown fire a bet on sixth street and receive a call from Norman Chad. Brown fired again on seventh and Chad peeked at his newly drawn card and called.

"Fours and a seven" said Brown.

Chad turned over his hand and showed a six low, which was good for the low. The dealer then pointed out that he also had a pair of sixes.

"Oh, I didn't even notice the sixes!" said Chad as he was able to scoop the entire pot from Brown.
