During the break of Event #2, we caught up with the two giants (literally) in the field, Brent Hanks and Ryan Welch. Hanks taught us how to go from "a chip and a chair" to 60,000.
To see the guys teaching us how to play tennis follow along in The Muck.
Eli Elezra started the day in second place with 155,900. Elezra is a veteran of the game with results dating back as far as 1996. In 2004, he won a WPT Main Event for over $1 million and then in 2007 he won a WSOP bracelet in the $3,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better.
Jesse Martin has been competing in the World Series for several years and has cashes dating back to 2005. Last year Martin cashed for around $35,000 in Limit and No-Limit Hold'em events.
Here are Elezra and Martin locking horns in one of the vital pots of today.
The action folded around to Elezra who was seated on the button undergoing a thorough massage. He made the raise to 4,300, the small blind folded and Martin called in the big blind.
The dealer laid down the flop of and the sunglass wearing Martin check-called a 6,000 Elezra continuation-bet. On the turn the pair shared the and the same action ensued, this time for 22,000. With a little under 70,000 in the pot the dealer finished off the action by laying the on the felt. This time Martin dwelled for a while before making a small bet of 28,300. A frustrated Elezra tanked for a long while before eventually speaking.
"I got to see this. I flopped a set."
He made the call and Martin turned over for the rivered straight and Elezra tossed his hand into the muck.

Belgian pro Kenny Hallaert just finished in 122nd place after losing a crucial coin flip. We witnessed Hallaert earlier raising to 3,200 and getting called by his left neighbor in the big blind. The flop came down and Hallaert threw out 5,800. His opponent moved all-in and Hallaert smirked as he folded his cards.
A couple of hands later he lost a coin flip with pocket fours against an unknown hand. Too bad for Hallaert who does managed to pick up $3,531 for his for 2012 WSOP tournament.

If it's action and talent that you are after then Table #426 is the place to watch your poker. The table is splattered with a beautiful concoction of top quality pros and the biggest stacks in the room. Here are the finer points of the table.
Seat 1 | Vanessa Selbst | 85,000 |
Seat 2 | John Juanda | 78,000 |
Seat 6 | Sadan Turker | 160,000 |
Seat 8 | Nicholas Verkaik | 210,000 |
Seat 9 | Andrew Badecker | 195,000 |
We were watching the table for a few orbits and the player who caught our eye was Sadan Turker. Turker started the day as the chip leader but has been surpassed by quite a few people. That being said Turker still has a formidable stack and a ferocious appetite for big pots.
The name of Sadan Turker may not be a familiar name to the poker masses. The Londoner's biggest live cash to date came last year when he finished runner-up to Sean Getzwiller in the WSOP $1,000 No-Limit Hold-em bracelet event earning $377,411 in the process. Here are a few hands involving Turker.
Hand 1:
The action folded around to Sadan Turker in the small blind and he moved all-in forcing the big blind to play for his tournament life. The suspicious big blind tanked for a while before eventually folding.
Hand 2:
The action folded around to the hijack and the player moved all-in for 27,100. One fold later and Turker called on the button. The blinds folded and we had a heads up encounter with the hijack at risk of elimination.

Hijack |
The player in the hijack seat got to his feet and then quickly sat back down when he saw the flop - . The turn card spun the result back in favour of Turker before the confirmed the tournament exit for the hijack.
