Blair Hinkle Minus a Cheerleader

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mason "Uncle Ron" Hinkle has been a major supporter of his brother Blair in the past few days. Mason was by his brother's side during Blair's deep run in Event #38, a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event that concluded on Saturday. Blair took fourth place for $192,734, and Mason was there through the end.

Today, though, while Blair is deep in this $1,000 event, Mason is over at the main stage in the Amazon Room watching friend James Mackey at the final table of Event #43. Just like he did at Blair's final table, every time Mackey wins a pot, Mason stands up and repeats his one-man cheer: "Ohhhhhhh yeahhhhhhh. Wooooooooooo."

It echoes through the Amazon Room. And brother Blair — seated across the room — grins every time.

Blair is closing in on back-to-back final tables here in Event #44. If he returns tomorrow for Day 3, you can bet Mason will be back in his cheering section.
