Channing Sends One to The Rail

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player in late position open-pushed all in for his last 1,200 and directly behind him, Neil Channing also pushed all in. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.

Channing: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

Channing was in bad shape, however, a queen came right in the window on the {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop.

"...That's a good flop," Channing said under his breath.

The {J-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river changed nothing and Channing took the rest of his opponents' chips.

Channing, who recently got second place in Event 43: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, is up to 4,500.

Elezra Over 10K

We caught up with the action on a completed board reading {J-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} with a sizable pot already in the middle. Eli Elezra was heads-up in a pot against an unknown opponent.

Elezra's opponent underbet the pot for 350 from early position. Elezra, who was directly behind him, responded by raising to 1,250. His opponent gave it up after some thought and Elezra scooped the pot.

Elezra is up to 10,500.

Ace-Ten High Good For Cajelais

Erik Cajelais opened for 200 from middle position and he found one caller in the player in the small blind.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Cajelais' opponent checked, prompting a 150 c-bet from Cajelais. His opponent called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and the player in the small blind check-called again - this time for a 250 bet from Cajelais.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} river and neither player seemed unwilling to table their hand. Cajelais' opponent eventually flipped over {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Cajelais turned up {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Both of Cajelais' cards played and he dragged the pot.

Cajelais is up to 6,500.

Brenes Lets One Go; Then Nearly Triples Up

Humberto Brenes opened to 400 from middle position and found one caller from his opponent in the cutoff seat.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and Brenes checked once more - prompting a bet from his opponent.

"Do you bluff?" Brenes asked.

"I'm too old to bluff," his opponent replied.

"Okay," Brenes said. He then revealed the {A-Spades} and {10-Spades} one-by-one and mucked his hand.

His opponent mucked without showing.

"Good fold, sir," he said.

"No no, it was a bad fold," Brenes said with a smile.

Just a few hands later, we noticed Brenes was all-in preflop against two other opponents and hands were revealed.

Brenes: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent #1: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent #2: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The player with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} had everyone covered, while the player with pocket fours was the short stack. The board ran out {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Brenes' queens held for the near triple-up.

Brenes is now up to 12,000.
