Boyd Bossing

Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

Dutch Boyd is amassing a tidy stack, some thanks to winning a four-way pot just now.

The flop was out as {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and David "Bakes" Baker led for 2,500 from under the gun. A player in the next seat called along with Boyd, with the big blind passing.

No more chips ventured into the middle as all three checked the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} turn and river down.

Boyd opened {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and scooped as both opponents mucked.

Brunson Pays

Todd Brunson sat shaking his head after he paid off an opponent on all three streets.

He defended his big blind and check-called all the way down the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

His opponent opened {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} which was good for the high and the low. Brunson mucked.

Hellmuth Ends His Fued

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth and Barry Hartheimer had been clashing on many occasions today, but that is all over now. Hellmuth just knocked his opponent out and luckily for us there was still plenty of chit chat going on during that final hand between the two.

With the flop reading {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} Hellmuth was first to act from the small blind and he threw out 5,000. "That's a little much there buddy!," Hartheimer said within a second and Hellmuth realized he could only put in 2,500. "Well I raise," Hartheimer said making it 5,000 on his own part. The third player folded and Hellmuth said, "You just wanna get it all in now?," pressuring Hartheimer who wasn't going to back down out of this one. Hellmuth put in another raise making it 7,500 and Hartheimer called with 9,500 chips left behind.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Hellmuth bet 5,000. "Well now we can get it in," Hartheimer laughed as he put in his last chips. Obviously Hellmuth followed with the call immediately and said, "Well I've got top set. What do you got Barry?". Hartheimer showed {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} as he said, "You shouldn't have even been in the hand with two queens", as he was looking for a blank on the river. Hellmuth had {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and when the river brought out the {2-Diamonds} Hellmuth hit his full house. "I never thought it wasn't gonna come. I had one coming," Hellmuth said with a smile as Hartheimer shouted, "Payout on table #428".

Phil Hellmuth is doing very well so far and with Hartheimer gone he looks to get full control of this table.

No More Madsen

Two time WSOP gold bracelet winner and 2006 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen has just been eliminated. He Tweeted the following:

"Son of a bitch ran so sheisty the last two levels gg 80th onto the next"

Madsen clearly wasn't happy with this result as he added another mincash to his World Series resumé after finishing 36th in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-low event early this week for $3,921.

Bari Up, Boyd Down

Allen Bari and Dutch Boyd are two of the marquee names left in the field. They are sat next to each other and just clashed in a big pot.

We got there on the river but Bari had bet, called a raise on the turn. The board was left as {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Boyd tank-called another 5,000.

"Two-pair," said Bari and opened {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Boyd half showed his losing {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{x-} and mucked whilst saying, "Why did I raise you on the turn?"
