Desmond Portano Eliminated in 22nd Place ($22,885)

Another hand, another elimination. This time it was Desmond Portano as he finds himself on the rail in 22nd place.

The end of Portano's tournament began when Stephen Reynolds opened the pot from middle position. Portano was in the big blind when he three-bet shoved his small stack. Reynolds instantly made the call and the two players turned their hands over.

Portano: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Reynolds: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

It was bleak times for Portano and they wouldn't get any better as the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. For his effort, Portano turned his $1,500 investment into $22,885.

Jonathan Duhamel Eliminated in 21st Place ($22,885); Barry Hutter Eliminated in 20th Place ($22,885)

With a limp in front, Brian Rast called from the hijack seat. Jonathan Duhamel raised to over 300,000 on his direct left, leaving less than 100,000 behind. Barry Hutter moved all in for over 600,000 from the big blind, and the action was back on Rast. Rast went into the tank, and cut out enough chips to make the call. He then stood up, and walked around his seat for the better part of a minute before committing the chips. Duhamel stuck the rest of his chips in, and the cards were turned over.

Rast{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Duhamel{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Hutter{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The dealer rapped the table, burned a card, then dealt three cards face down. In the window was the {q-Clubs}, and she was followed by the {j-Spades} and {2-Diamonds}. The turn and river both bricked {7-Hearts}, {5-Clubs} respectively, and Rast was shipped an absolutely monster pot, ballooning his stack to 2.5 million chips.

Joshua Suyat Eliminated in 19th Place ($22,885)

Action folded around to Amanda Musumeci who raised to 33,000 from the button. Joshua Suyat moved all in from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Musumeci snap called.

Musumeci: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Suyat: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

Musumeci found a set on the {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop and turned that into a full house when the {7-Diamonds} turned. The {A-Diamonds} came on the river and Suyat was sent home. This elimination prompted another seat re-draw for the final 18 players.

Razavi Climbing

We caught up to see Ashkan Razavi and Scott Seiver staring down at a board of {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Seiver, after a moment of contemplation, pushed out a bet of 153,000. Razavi called and flipped over {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

"You're going to win this hand," said Seiver as he tossed his cards away. "I didn't think that was a bad river for me".
