Ladny Eliminated

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

The player under the gun raised to 250, eliciting calls from a middle position player, Kevin MacPhee, in the cutoff, and the small blind. Eric Ladny, in the big blind, went all in for 150 more. The player under the gun wanted to raise the pot and some controversy over the ability to reraise in this situation ensued. The floor was called and notified players that in a pot limit game, only a full raise from an all in player can reopen the action. As a result, we saw all five players complete Ladny's bet. The players all checked the flop {2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, the {8-Clubs} turn and the {2-Spades} river.

The hands:
Small Blind: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Eric Ladny (big blind): {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
UTG: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Middle Position Player: {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Kevin MacPhee (cutoff): {A-}{K-}

The small blind took the pot with a pair of jacks and Ladny was eliminated.

Cada Short

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

When we arrived the total board was already out: {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} | {6-Spades} | {7-Diamonds}. Joe Cada had checked to his neighbor who bet 1,400. That appeared to be pot sized, but that didn't scare Cada. The former Main Event champion called almost immediately but could muck just as fast. His opponent showed {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a rivered straight and that was the end of it. Cada has to continue with a little over 600 in chips.

Lunkin Quadruples

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Vitaly Lunkin, winner of the $40,000 No-Limit Hold'em event back in 2009, just quadrupled up. The cutoff opened to 225 and the button three bet to 500. From the small blind Lunkin pushed allin and the big blind folded. The cutoff made the call and a side-pot came into existence.

{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on the flop and the cutoff check-folded to a 450 bet by the button, who thus grabbed the main pot. The button showed {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} but was behind Lunkin's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The {5-Spades} on the turn and {6-Diamonds} on the river didn't improve the button's hand and Lunkin now has 550 to play with again.
