Matusow Climbing

The board read when we found Mike Matusow heads up with an opponent. Matusow checked and his opponent thought for a moment before checking behind. The fell on the river and Matusow fired off a bet. His opponent took a bit of time to think but finally decided on a call.

"That was a good check you made on the turn," remarked Matusow as he showed for a hand that was good enough for a scoop with trip fours and a sixty-four. Matusow is now one of the biggest stack of the room with about 125,000 in chips.

Seidel Scoops Soulier

Erik Seidel raised from the cutoff and Fabrice Soulier called from the big blind.

The flop fell and Soulier check-called a bet from Seidel to see the turn. Soulier led out this time, Seidel called, and the river completed the board. Soulier fired again, but this time Seidel raised.

Soulier called, but mucked when Seidel tabled for the nut flush with a 6-4 low.

Just Danz

Joe Cassidy opened with an early position raise and George Danzer made it three bets to go. Eugene Katchalov called on the button and it came back to Cassidy who called.

The flop came and Cassidy checked. Danzer continued out with a bet and Katchalov quickly kicked his hand into the muck. Cassidy stuck around and the two saw the fall on the turn. Cassidy check-called another bet and a third six- the finished off the board. Cassidy checked a third time and Danzer fired one last bet. Cassidy called.

Danzer fanned onto the felt for sixes full of deuces and a sixty-four. Cassidy picked up his cards, looked at them, and flung them at the muck. Danzer scooped it up and now has about 26,000.

We picked up with the action to see Jennifer Harman and Michael Moed heads up on a flop. Harman checked and Moed fired a bet. Harman called and the dealer produced the on the turn.

Harman checked a second time and Moed came out swinging again. Harman called once more and the finished off the board. Harman checked and Moed cut out one more bet. Harman peeked at her cards once again before finally deciding to muck them. Moed took the pot and now has about 70,000 in chips.

Wolansky Busts to Kostritsyn

We found Steven Wolansky under the gun and all in for his last 1,800 before the flop. Going to the flop with him were Shawn Buchanan, Alexander Kostritsyn, and a third late-positioned player. The flop came and Buchanan checked. Kostritsyn fired a bet and the third player folded. Buchanan called and the turn was the . He checked once more but folded after a second bet from Kostritsyn. With that, Kostritsyn and Wolansky's hands were turned over.

We arrived at the table to find Mike Wattel just about all in before the flop against Michael Moed. The dealer fanned the flop and Wattel dropped his final few hundred chips in the middle.
