Marra Busts Kamran

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Despite entering the day with over 90,000 chips, Michael Kamran has been eliminated.

We missed the action, and unfortunately were unable to grab his hand because it was already in the muck, but Brazilian Eduardo Marra's hand was spread on the felt: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The board was {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, and Marra's kings were good enough for him to win the massive pot.

Over at Table 441, Michel Abecassis was also eliminated.

Ivey: "Pot." Opponents: Fold.

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

A middle-position raise by Timo Pfutzenreuter earned three callers in Conrad Fourie (hijack), Ryan Schmidt (cutoff), and Phil Ivey (small blind).

The flop came {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, and Ivey led out for 6,000, getting callers in both Fourie and Schmidt. The turn then brought the {3-Diamonds} and a half-minute of deliberation by Ivey, followed by a single word.

"Pot," he said.

The bet was 22,800, and after a bit of deliberation by both, Ivey's two remaining opponents let their hands go.

Jared vs. Jarred

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

The action folded to overnight chip leader Jarred Solomon, who limped in. Jared Bleznick instantly raised to 2,400 in the big blind - accidentally tossing out too many chips initially - and Solomon called.

The dealer fanned {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, Solomon check-called a 3,000-chip bet, and the turn was the {9-Diamonds}. Solomon quickly checked.

"OK," Bleznick told the dealer, knuckling behind.

The {a-Hearts} completed the board, and Solomon tossed out 4,000. Bleznick instantly called.

"Two pair," Solomon announced.

Bleznick lifted his four cards, and a snap of the wrist he spread them to reveal {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a set of aces. He raked in the pot, and now sits with around 85,000 chips.

You Can Count on Chris

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

There was a six-way limped pot over at Table 438 just now. All checked the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, then when the turn brought the {5-Hearts}, Arthur Walker spoke up to disturb the scene's serenity.

"Pot," said Walker. "Forty-eight hundred," answered Chris the dealer instantly.

"You're good at math," said Josh Arieh to Chris as the table all folded to Walker's bet, reminding all of the challenge pot-limit games can sometimes provide. Chris nodded and slid the chips toward Walker, the amount of which was plain to all.

Hood and Hyman Hit the Road

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

When we arrived at Table 435, Daniel Hood and Tom West were all in against a third player - we don't know who held the hand because all of them were already tabled when we got there.

Hood: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
West: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Third Player: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, and West tripled up with a straight. Hood was eliminated.

Weldon Hyman has also hit the rail with unknown action.

Shak Stacked

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Dan Shak has been eliminated during the early going here on Day 2.

The big damage done to Shak's stack in a preflop all-in confrontation with Jared Hamby in which Shak had {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and was dismayed to see Hamby turn over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Drawing super thin, Shak saw the board come {5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Hamby scooped the pot of about 50,000 with a Broadway straight.

Down to about 10,000 after that one, Shak was eliminated soon thereafter.
