Wiese Bet Forces Bleznick Fold

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
James Wiese
James Wiese

Hand #118: James Wiese (middle position) and Daniel Alaei (small blind) limped, Jared Bleznick checked (big blind), and all three subquently checked the {8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop. They also checked the {4-Clubs} turn, and it appeared the hand would likely end without much fanfare.

But when the river brought the {9-Clubs} and Alaei checked, Bleznick promptly bet the pot — 240,000 — then Wiese didn't waste much time at all before reraising to 960,000, only leaving himself about 400,000 behind.

Alaei folded instantly, and Bleznick began talking out loud as he narrated his thinking process.

"The thing is… you bluff a lot," he said. "You're capable of a lot," he added, then asked the dealer to pull the chips in to see it was 720,000 for him to call.

Finally he let his hand go, continuing to talk while Wiese just chewed his gum wordlessly and dragged the chips.

Gjergj Sinishtaj - 6th Place
Gjergj Sinishtaj - 6th Place

Hand #119: Gjergj Sinishtaj raised in early position, Daniel Alaei called in the cutoff, and James Wiese called in the big blind. The dealer fanned {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Wiese quickly checked, Sinishtraj moved all in for 710,000, Alaei called, and Wiese folded.

Sinishtaj: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Alaei: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}

The turn was the {9-Spades}, improving Alaei's hand from two pair to a straight and giving him outs to make a flush, and the {9-Clubs} bricked off of the river. Sinishtaj was eliminated, while Alaei now has over five million chips.

"He's got a bright future," Jared Bleznick said, referring to Sinishtaj. "He's going to win the Main Event before he's 25. I'll bet it."
