Pavillion Breaks Tables Quickly as Players move to Brazilia Room

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

The Pavillion hosted 55 tables for this event, with the tables steadily breaking into the Brasilia room across the hall, where players are frantically moving to find their new table assignments. We are now down to 30 tables left in the Pavillion until play consolidates into the Brasilia room for the remainder of the tournament.

Cunningham Out

A player in mid position just opened to 250 and from the cutoff Allen Cunningham showed interest. The big blind also came along and the three of them had {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} to work with. The big blind checked to the initial-raiser who followed up his preflop agression with a 425 continuation-bet. Cunningham made it 2,000 with just 250 behind. The big blind now double checked his cards and announced that he was allin. The initial-raiser folded eventually after which Cunningham shipped in his remaining 250 to make the call.

Cunningham showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for an over pair while the big blind had {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a gutshot and flushdraw. The turn was the {K-Hearts} which made the big blind Cunningham's executioner. The river {J-Diamonds} could not help the 5 time bracelet winner and he departed the Brasilia Room.

Men Nguyen Gets Aggressive with AK

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We just picked up another hand with Nguyen, after he had apparently doubled-up again since we saw him with the {q-}{q-} a few moments ago.

On the button, Nguyen was raised 350 by the cutoff, and re-popped the bet to 1100. The flop came down {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, and the cutoff bet another 450 in the pot.

In one sweeping motion, "The Master" ripped off a stack of yellow, purple and green chips, snapping them into the middle without a moments hesitation. The 5050 bet put his opponent all-in, who had a remaining 2600. After a minute-long tank, he finally folded and Nguyen showed {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

"You know I had to play {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}," "The Master" announced as he pitched his cards face up across the table.

Tran's Patience is Paying Off

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Seven players headed to the flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} in a limped pot. It checked to a middle position player who initially bet 200 out of turn. After the dealer had him take his bet back, he bet 300 in turn this time. The cutoff called the bet and was followed by a reraise all in for an additional 1,550 from Mimi Tran on the button. The middle position player called prompting a fold from the player in the cutoff.

Tran's {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} was good for top pair and her opponent had middle pair with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Tran's hand held up when the {a-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river was dealt, bringing Tran back near the starting stack.

Ebanks Tripples, Still Short

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We just saw Joe Ebanks preflop allin. He ended up in the pot with two callers who both checked the entire hand tot try to eliminate Ebanks. To no avail though as the {6-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts} | {A-Diamonds} | {3-Diamonds} gave Ebanks top-pair with his {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Both other players couldn't beat that hand and Ebanks continued his tournament with just 525 in chips.

Affleck Cruising Along

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

The player in the hijack limped into the pot, the small blind completed and Matt Affleck, the big blind checked his option. All three players checked the {3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop.

The small blind led for 200 on the {7-Spades} turn and both the other players called. On the {3-Hearts} river, the small blind again led, this time for 250. Affleck immediately called and the player in the hijack took some time to think before calling. When the hands were tabled Affleck won the pot with top pair.
