Brunson Looking Strong

Level 14
Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson

Omaha 8

Doyle Brunson has cashed just once at the World Series of Poker since 2009, which was during last year's Main Event. This year, Brunson has played a few events already, and in today's tournament, he's looking good to notch up a cash later tonight.

Brunson raised and Huck Seed immediately tossed in a three-bet from his immediate left. The action folded back to Brunson who called and the flop showed {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Both players checked and Brunson lead out on the {5-Spades} turn. Seed called and on the river the {6-Diamonds} popped up. Brunson bet again and Seed called.

Brunson showed {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for a straight and Seed took down the low part of the pot with {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Baker Chips Up without Showdown

Level 15

Omaha 8

On the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, Jennifer Harman checked, David "Bakes" Baker bet, Shirley Rosario called, Andrey Zaichenko called, and then Harman folded.

The remaining three players in the hand watched the {5-Clubs} get added to the board on the turn. Baker led with a bet, Rosario called, and Zaichenko folded.

The river completed the board with the {K-Spades}, and Baker checked. After a brief time in the tank, Rosario folded, and Baker scooped in the pot.
