Ho Scoops

Level 7

Badacey

Action folded around to Maria Ho on the button and she put out a raise. The small blind folded while the big blind opted to stick around. He pulled three new cards on the first draw and Ho took two. Action checked to Ho and she continued out with a bet. Her opponent called.

For the second draw, Ho's opponent took two card while Ho tapped the table, signifying that she was pat. Action once again checked to her and she fired a bet. Her opponent called to see the final draw. Ho's opponent picked up two once again and Ho stood pat. Action went check, bet, call on the final betting round and Ho rolled over {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a seventy-six and a six badugi. Ho's opponent mucked and she scooped the pot, bringing her stack to around 10,800.

Martin Runs Into Aces

Level 7

Five Card Draw

Jesse Martin had the button and raised to 425. Both the small and big blinds called to see the draw. The small blind pulled three new cards, the big blind took one, and Martin opted for two.

After the draw, action checked back to Martin and he dropped out 900. The small blind called and the big blind let go of his cards. Martin tabled {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights, but was ultimately bested by his opponent's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a pair of aces. Martin watched as the pot was pushed to his opponent and he now sits around 14,500.

Myung Doubles Opponent

Level 7

No-Limit Hold'em

John Myung opened to 400 from early position and the player on the button called. The blinds folded and the two took a flop of {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Myung checked and his opponent took the opportunity to lead for 1,100. Myung came over the top, making it 2,500 to go. His opponent called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Myung moved out enough to put his opponent all in. He called for his last 5,150 and the hands were turned up.

Myung: {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Myung flopped trips but fell behind to his opponent's flush on fourth street. The board finished with the {3-Spades} on the river and Myung was forced to ship double up chips across the table. With his hit, Myung is now down to about 18,800 in chips.
