Harwood Not Into Clubs

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Loni Harwood opened for 6,000 and Sunny Chattha moved all in for 64,500. Harwood got an exact count as she likes to do and mulled it over, eventually saying, “Same spot I was in before.”

This time though she folded and as Chatta gathered the pot Harwood said, “Ace ten of clubs. If it was hearts I would have for sure called.”

Tien Stays Alive

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Thong Tien was all in preflop for 16,500 and the player in the small blind moved all in himself for 54,000. Hugo Nazar in the big blind asked for a count and then reluctantly folded.

Tien was at risk with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and got isolated by {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. After the {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} flop, the opponent took the lead and the {A-Spades} turn changed nothing. However, the {8-Clubs} on the river gave him a set and Tien remains short but is still alive.

Well Played Mister Blenkarn

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We are not entirely sure if it was Owen Crowe or Peter Hengsakul that busted against Jeff Blenkarn, because the opponent was already gone from the seat and headed to the payout desk with two eliminations at the same time. Blenkarn earned a "well played" from his table and he held {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

The opponent at risk had {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and the board ran out {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, which leaves some room for interpretation on when the chips went in.

Frampton Up-Sets Two Opponents

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

One short stack moved all in with {A-Spades}{10-Spades} and Matthew Frampton called with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Behind them, another opponent moved all in as well with {A-}{K-} and Frampton called off to have two players at risk.

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and shortly after, yet another table was broken up as the field gets shorter and shorter at an alarming fast pace.

Harwood Scores Huge Double Through Sapiro

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Loni Harwood
Loni Harwood

Andrew Sapiro raised to 6,000 and one opponent as well as Loni Harwood in the big blind called to see the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop. Harwood check-called 11,000 from Sapiro and the third player in the hand called as well to see the {6-Clubs} on the turn.

Harwood now check-raised from 19,000 to 50,000 whereas the second opponent folded and Sapiro put her all in. Harwood called with {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the flush and Sapiro was already drawing dead with {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. The {8-Clubs} river completed the board and a swingy last few levels turned into the chip lead for Harwood.

Kojak Does Dallas

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

David Dallas three-bet over an open and got the last of his 28,000 in the middle before the flop.

“I got it in good.” He would tell a friend on the way to the pay-out desk, and his friend could not disagree.

Dallas turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} but was up against {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} with the turn card turning the tide. Dallas tapped the table and headed off.

Deadly Timing for Aldemir

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Koray Aldemir had grinded his short stack up to almost 70,000 before the worst possible timing emerged. He got his stack in preflop with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} against the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} of Shaun Hart.

Despite some hope on the {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop, the {4-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river failed to improve the hand of the Austrian further.
