Kravchenko Still Climbing

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Alex Kravchenko's fine Day 2 continues.

In a recent hand, he bet 6,000 on the turn when checked to on a board of {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and his opponent called. On the {8-Spades} river, he bet 17,000 and was again called. Kravchenko showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a turned full house.

Laak's Shove Takes It Down

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

We missed the pre-flop action but three players saw the flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} with two of them being Daniel Idema in the big blind and Phil Laak in the small blind.

Laak checked, Idema bet 6,500, the player on the button called as did Laak. The dealer put out the {Q-Hearts} on the turn and Laak checked. Idema did as well and this time the player on the button put out a bet of 29,500. Laak wasted little time in shoving the rest of his stack, approximately 65,000, into the middle. Idema quickly folded and the player on the button wasted little time in folding as well. That pot moved Laak up to 135,000 in chips.

Dykshteyn Over 400,000

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Manuel Bevand checked, and Ruslan Dykshteyn bet 12,500 on a {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop. Leif Force folded from the button, and Bevand wasted little time before calling. Dykshteyn fired 33,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn, and this time Bevand mucked his hand. Dykshteyn showed {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} for top set.

Cong Pham Doubles Up

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

A player in Seat 2 opened the action for 6,000 and Cong Pham raised it to 20,400 out of the small blind. His opponent made the call and told Pham "just put it in, might as well" since Pham only had another 21,500 in front of him.

The dealer put out a flop of {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Pham did precisely what his opponent asked him to, moving all in. He was snap-called by his opponent and the hands were revealed:

Pham: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a pair of kings
Opponent: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of kings plus an open-ended straight draw

Pham's opponent had tons of outs to improve but the {5-Hearts} on the turn was not one of them. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Pham would take the pot down with two pair, kings and fives, with an ace kicker.
