Stausholm Wins Big to Eliminate Ninkovich

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The action was opened with a raise from middle position before Martin Stausholm called on the button. Kevin Ninkovich was in the small blind and three-bet to 125,000. The initial raiser folded and Stausholm made the call.

The flop came down {j-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and Stauholm called a 120,000 bet. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Ninkovich continued for 225,000 which Stausholm called. When the river came the {j-Clubs}, Ninkovich moved all in for 356,000. Stausholm asked for the count and went into the tank. It was close to three minutes before Stausholm acted, but he did make the call.

Martin Stausholm: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Kevin Ninkovich: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Stausholm made the correct call for two pair, and Ninkovich wished the rest of the table good luck before he departed for the payout desk. Denmark's Stausholm, who will achieve his third cash of the series in this event, propels himself into the top chip counts.

Classic Race Goes to Kim

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

A string of preflop bets between Andrew Kim and Dylan Wilkerson had all the chips go in the middle.

Dylan Wilkerson: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Andrew Kim: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The most classic of races was underway as the dealer fanned out an {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board. Neither player had a heart but Kim did spike an ace to claim the pot. After the stacks were cut down, it was determined Wilkerson had slightly less and was sent to the rail.

Ninkovich's Eights Hold

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Kevin Ninkovich was in the big blind and up against the player in the small blind who he just had covered. The two players got all their chips into the middle preflop and went to the races.

Kevin Ninkovich: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Board: {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The flop was safe for Ninkovich, but it did give his opponent the nut flush draw. However, the turn and river bricked to secure Ninkovich the pot as another player was sent to the payout desk.

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Andrey Zaichenko
Andrey Zaichenko

One player was all in on Andrey Zaichenko's table, and he made the call to put his opponent's tournament life at risk.

Andrey Zaichenko: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Board: {3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Zaichenko was in bad shape preflop, but he picked up additional outs on the flop. The turn didn't help him, but the river was the ten of diamonds to complete his straight and send his opponent to the payout desk, as Zaichenko moved up to 1.5 million.

Schwartz Mucks to Ace High

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With about 80,000 piled up in the middle of a {2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board, Jake Schwartz bet 30,000 out of the big blind and his heads-up opponent check-called from the small blind.

The {k-Hearts} hit the turn and both players checked to see the {5-Clubs} fall on the river.

The player in the small blind bet 45,000 and Schwartz made the call only to muck when his opponent tabled the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for just ace high.

Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

The action folded around to 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman in the hijack, and he raised to 34,000. Men Nguyen was in the big blind and three-bet to 81,000. Moorman made the call, and the flop came down {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Nguyen continued with a 66,000 bet and Moorman called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds}, and Nguyen decided to check. Moorman bet 140,000 and the former called.

Nguyen checked on the {10-Hearts} river, and Moorman moved all in for 344,000. Nguyen thought for a minute before he counted the call from his stack. Once he had, he made the call.

Chris Moorman: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Men Nguyen: {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Moorman's trip eights were good against Nguyen's two pair, and he secured a full double-up to move above the one million mark.
