Machon vs. Theologis

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The board was down {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Clubs}, and Alexandros Theologis bet 125,000 from the small blind.

Bartlomiej Machon, sat on the button, was the player with the decision to make and called after a minute in the tank.

The river fell the {3-Diamonds}, and Theologis slowed down by checking. Machon sat silent for 30 seconds before he started picking up chips from his stack and pushed forward a bet worth 130,000.

Theologis has 340,000 but decided not to see a showdown and folded to the pressure from Machon.

Fast Can't Win With Eights

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Michael Soyza was eliminated moments ago when he couldn't win against pocket eights and Dietrich Fast went down only moments later with a pair of pocket eights.

Fast got his last 85,000 in the middle with pocket eights against {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop wasn't good for Fast and the {3-Hearts} turn and {a-Hearts} river didn't do anything for him.

Liu Rivers a Set

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Joe Kuether raised to 14,000 from the cutoff and saw Jiaxiu Liu three-bet to 42,000 on the button. The player in the small blind tank folded before Kuether called and saw a {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop.

Both players checked, and Kuether checked again on the {2-Diamonds} turn, before calling a 25,000 bet from Liu.

The river fell the {10-Diamonds}, and after Kuether checked for the third time, Liu fired a 100,000 bet.

Kuether checked his holding then thought on this decision for 20 seconds before he flicked in a chip to call.

"Set" announced Liu before he revealed the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Kuether mucked.
