Clock Called on Kaplan, Makes the High Pressure Call

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With the board reading {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, an opponent on the small blind bet 85,000 into Andy Kaplan, in a pot that was already over 100k.

Kaplan, under the gun, went deep into the tank, taking several minutes. He stood up, looked at the board, looked at his opponent and back at the board, and as he contemplated another player at the table called the clock.

As the floor was making their way over, Kaplan decided on a call, quickly turning over {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. His opponent mucked, showing a glimpse of the {a-Spades}.

Mlinek Goes to Battle on the Flop

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Josh Mlinek three-bet to 27,000 after the under-the-gun player opened to 8,500. A player in late position and the original raiser made the call.

Action was checked to Mlinekon on the {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop where he continued for 35,000. With the option back on the original raiser, he elected for a good old fashion check-raise and made the bet 71,000.

With a few minutes in the tank Mlinek shoved all in putting his opponent to the test. He eventually folded and Mlinek took down a nice pot without showdown.

Deuces Hold for Harwood

Loni Harwood
Loni Harwood

A large pot was already forming as four players called 7,000 to see a {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop.

Action checked to Loni Harwood who lead out for 16,000, the player next to act moved all in for 56,000.

The remaining two players folded and Harwood asked for a count.

She cut out the chips, announcing "call". Only to see the good news as she had her opponent almost drawing dead with {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} vs his {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} run out was no help to her opponent, sending him to the rail.
