Wood Doubles Through Stout

Level 7 : 100/200, 25 ante

Brian "pure__reason" Wood raised under the gun to 400 and action folded to Matt "RubberFist" Stout in the big blind, who raised to 1,450. Wood made the call and the flop came {3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

Stout bet 1,000 and got the quick call from Wood. The turn brought {a-Hearts} and Stout went all in with Wood's remaining 3,946 covered. Wood called and showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for three jacks. Stout turned over {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for top pair.

A {7-Hearts} on the river secured the double for Wood and Stout was back to near his original starting stack.

Lopez Gets It in with Nut Flush Draw

Level 7 : 100/200, 25 ante

Angel "ChromeKing" Lopez raised to 400 from early position only to have Ryan "mink32" Mccusker three-bet to 1,200 from the cutoff.

Action folded back to Lopez, who called and then moved all in for 3,097 after the flop came down {8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Angel "ChromeKing" Lopez: {9-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Ryan "mink32" Mccusker: {q-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Mccusker was ahead with top pair while Lopez had the nut flush draw. The {9-Spades} turn gave Lopez even more outs, but the {10-Diamonds} river was not one of them.

Mccusker won the pot and Lopez was left to rebuy.

Halverson Has Aces Cracked

Level 7 : 100/200, 25 ante
Mitchell Halverson
Mitchell Halverson

David "FreshStart14" Wade raised to 450 and then called the 1,165 three-bet Mitchell "franzia" Halverson made directly to his left.

The {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop brought fire works which saw Halverson three-bet all in for 17,553 and Wade snap-called.

David "FreshStart14" Wade: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Mitchell "franzia" Halverson: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Wade took the lead after he flopped a set of nines and neither the {q-Diamonds} turn nor the {2-Diamonds} turn changed a thing as he scooped the pot while Halverson re-entered.

Ross "BlueTang" Gottlieb Looking For a Taste of WSOP Gold

Level 7 : 100/200, 25 ante
Ross Gottlieb
Ross Gottlieb

Columbus, Ohio's Ross "BlueTang" Gottlieb recorded four cashes in last year's WSOP.com Online Bracelet Series, but it was one huge run that defined his series, and brought him agonizingly close to earning his first career WSOP Gold Bracelet.

In Event #8: $500 NLH Freezeout, Gottlieb found himself at a final table of absolute crushers, including Robert "bustinballs" Kuhn, Scott "miamicane" Davies, and Randy "StayAlive" Ohel among others. Gottlieb was on the shorter side of the counts at the start of the final table, but took the majority of Kuhn's chips with queens to take a commanding lead with five players remaining.

When heads-up play commenced, Gottlieb was back in a 2:1 deficit against Alan "GladiusIII" Goehring, but looked poised to take back command of the battle when the final hand of the tournament took place. Gottlieb, holding king-nine, flopped a king-high straight, while Goehring held ace-three of clubs for a higher straight draw and a flush draw. Gottlieb went from retaking the chip lead to out in one card when the turn was a club, and Gottlieb was forced to settle for $73,942 for a second-place run.

Gottlieb, who describes himself on his Twitter bio as a "full time veterinarian, part time button clicker", is back in action for this year's series, and looks to have a full schedule of events to play in his quest to finish one spot higher in an event this year, and lay claim to a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

Negreanu Turns Early Flush

Level 6 : 80/160, 0 ante

Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu raised from the cutoff to 400 and John "kidholdem86" Soares called from the button. The blinds folded and the flop came {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Both players checked and {8-Spades} dropped on the turn. Negreanu bet 680 and Soares called.

The {7-Clubs} river brought a 1,640 bet from Negreanu and Soares called once again. Negreanu turned over {k-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush and Soares mucked the losing hand.

Kwon Missed Flush and Rebought

Level 5 : 60/120, 0 ante

Richard "richardkwon" Kwon raised from the cutoff and then called off his 4,899 stack after Donnell "Spreezy52" Dais three-bet jammed for 43,578 from the big blind.

Donnell "Spreezy52" Dais: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Richard "richardkwon" Kwon: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Kwon was behind needing help and the {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} did give him a gutshot while pairing Dais.

The {3-Hearts} turn wasn't a bad card for Kwon as it gave him more outs with the heart flush draw but the {4-Spades} river was a brick and he re-entered the tournament.
