Jordison Takes Chip Lead With Huge Hold

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Angela Jordison
Angela Jordison

After an early position open from Curtis Anderau, Kevin Legerski from the button, Angela Jordison then three-bet to 340,000. With action back on Anderau, he shoved all-in, Legerski folded and with action back on Jordison, she said ''Well this is probably for the chip lead of the tournament'' then called all in.

Angela Jordison: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Curtis Anderau: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Anderau was very live and when the flop came down {4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, the {3-Spades} changed nothing and the {7-Diamonds} didn't connect to Anderau, doubling Jordison up and leaving him with little to work with. The player that folded pre-flop, Kevin Legerski, claimed to have {j-}{j-}.

Bloom Suffers Gutshot

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After faced with a raise, Myron Bloom got it all in pre-flop against Yaser Al-Keliddar, a 2018 WSOP bracelet winner.

The cards were tabled and it was a classic flip with Myron at risk.

Myron Bloom: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Yaser Al-Keliddar: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The flop of {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} also gave Bloom a gutshot straight draw which had him sitting pretty since neither player had a club.

And the turn {9-Diamonds} was a dream as it gave Bloom a straight.

"He did it!" the table cheered

"Not yet he didn't, I can still hit a queen", Al-Keliddar replied smugly, referring to his gutshot straight draw.

And just as he uttered those words Bloom's dream turned into a nightmare as the {q-Spades} came down on the river, giving Al-Keliddar a bigger straight.

Bloom sat there in disbelief for a second but stood up cheerfully and headed to the payout desk.

Fischer Makes Holtz Fold

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On a board of {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Seth Fischer and Michael Holtz were heads-up battling for the already large pot of 350,000.

Both players, however, decided to each check the turn.

But on the {9-Spades} river, Fischer checked to Holtz, who then began to stare his opponent down.

After several long moments of this, Holtz asked "has he acted yet?" and when the dealer replied that yes Fischer had checked, Holtz then apologized and put out a bet of 175,000.

Fischer then took a moment to think, then check-raised Holtz to 800,000.

This caught Holtz by surprise , as he quickly mucked his cards with a quite confused look on his face.

Fischer then raked in the pot to boost his stack to 2,200,000.

Ooten Eliminated by Eum

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

According to Aram Zobian, who stepped away from the table to fill PokerNews in on the action, after Zobian opened to 120,000 and David Ooten called, Young Sik Eum made it 400,000.

Zobian folded and Ooten jammed for approximately 1,000,000. Eum called and hands were flipped.

Young Sik Eum: {q-}{q-}
David Ooten: {a-}{j-}

The board of {9-}{8-}{2-}{k-}{2-} busted Ooten and gave Eum the pot.

Sick One For Eum

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Young Sik Eum
Young Sik Eum

Young Sik Eum just won another chunk of chips. After an open from Eum and a call from the button, Dustin Hallbach, Keith Hinkle completed in the big blind.

On {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, Eum lead for 300,000 and Hallbach shoved all-in for about 1,000,000, Eum called reasonably quickly.

Dustin Hallbach: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Young Sik Eum: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {3-Hearts} turn did nothing for Eum but the {10-} river came in big for Eum and sent Hallbach to the rail.
