Johnson Left With Dust

Level 22

Shaun Deeb opened from the cutoff and action folded to Marco Johnson in the big blind, who opted to three-bet. Deeb made the call to send the two players heads-up to the initial draw.

On the first draw, both players took just one card. Johnson then led into Deeb, who made the call.

The second draw saw each player again take one card before checking the action through to the final draw, where Johnson and Deeb took one card for the third consecutive time. Johnson then checked to Deeb who promptly put out a bet.

Johnson went into the tank, mulling over his decision for quite some time before eventually tossing in calling chips.

"Eight," announced Deeb, which was good enough to scoop the pot and leave Johnson with just 200,000 or two big bets.

"I had the world," muttered a visibly dejected Johnson.

Deeb took his time with his decision. "This would be the perfect spot to slowroll you," he said to Zack lightheartedly. Eventually he folded and Zack survived.

"I still expected the slowroll," replied Zack.

Zack Getting Short

Level 22

Daniel Zack opened on the button and was called by Marco Johnson in the big blind.

Both players took two cards on the initial draw. Johnson then led into Zack, who responded with a raise. Johnson was not discouraged, however, and re-raised. Zack ended the raising war there by just calling and sending the two players to the second draw.

The second draw saw Johnson stand pat before firing off another bet after Zack drew one. That bet was enough to convince Zack to let go of his holding. After a strong start to the day, Zack has since lost that initial momentum.
