Sova Rivers Top Set to Beat Two Pair

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

After Dominic Coombe opened for 240,000 in the hijack, Daniel Schausberger tanked for a bit, letting the clock run down as the field approached the break. With under 15 seconds left in the level, he folded. A moment or two later, David Meagher moved all in for 2,150,000 in the small blind. John Sova made the call as the big blind, and once Coombe got out of the way, it was time for a showdown.

David Meagher: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
John Sova: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop pair Sova's ace, but gave Meagher bottom two pair. The {8-Clubs} turn left Sova drawing thin, but the {a-Clubs} river gave him top set, enough to beat Meagher's two pair, and send him to the rail as the field went on their last break of the day. Sova continues to have one of the biggest stacks in the field.

Kolev Fires Triple Barrel

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Joining the action on the flop of {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades} Yuliyan Kolev bet 250,000 from early position. He was called by Frank Kelly on the button.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Kolev fired again, this time 530,000. Again Kelly called.

The {9-Diamonds} was the river and Kolev completed the triple barrel with a bet of 2,350,000. Kelly quickly folded.

Ahn Adds to Stack

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

After Bradley Miller moved all in from late position for around 800,000, Paul Ahn made the call from the hijack with Miller covered. The rest of the table got out of the way, giving a heads-up showdown.

Bradley Miller: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Paul Ahn: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Miller would pick up a flush draw on the {2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, but the board bricked out {4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, securing the pot for Ahn, and sending Miller to the rail.

Brazier Calls Leng's Bluff

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Action was picked up with a board of {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and around 1,000,000 in the center.

Ryan Leng fired for 650,000 from the cutoff. After a minute or two, Dominic Brazier made the call.

Leng threw his {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} onto the table in what at first seemed like jubilation, but was quickly realized to be frustration. Brazier turned over {a-Diamonds}{x-Diamonds}, good for top pair, and the pot. Brazier has grown his stack to be among the chip leaders, while Leng is down to just a few big blinds.

Aces vs Kings, Chop?

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

John Sova and Yita Choong (two of the biggest stacks in play) found themselves all in preflop.

"I have kings, man," said Choong as he tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

"Oh, really?" Sova responded as he flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}- pocket kings' worst nightmare.

And to make it worse, the flop came out {4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs} which gave Sova top set. Choong sighed and started gathering his things.

But the turn {5-Clubs} gave Choong hope for a chop, even the table was shouting, "Club! Club!".

When the {2-Clubs} landed on the river the whole table went ballistic.

"What is going on with these hands today?" Choong asked aloud, sounding quite relieved as he sat back down and chopped the pot with Sova.

Kelly Eliminates Rezaei

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Daniel Rezaei raised from early position to 250,000 and Frank Kelly three-bet to 800,000 from middle position. Rezaei made the call.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Kelly bet 500,000 when checked to. Rezaei raised to 1,300,000. Kelly re-raised all in for 2,800,000 and Rezaei quickly called.

Daniel Rezaei: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Frank Kelly: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Rezaei needed to hit his flush or an ace but it didn't come as the turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river was the {3-Spades} eliminating Rezaei from the tournament as Kelly slightly covered him.
