Favourable Runout Awards Pot to Wasserson

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

Razz

Eric Wasserson: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{2-}{3-}
Philip Long: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{2-}{6-} folded on fifth
Mike Gorodinsky: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{j-} folded on fourth

After several Razz hands without any major action until fifth street, a three-way pot emerged in which Eric Wasserson completed with an ace and was called by Philip Long and Mike Gorodinsky.

Wasserson checked the best board on fourth and Long bet, Gorodinsky folded after catching paint and Long called. On fifth, Wasserson hit a perfect wheel card once more and bet while Long folded his pair of sixes with some hesitation. By that time, former chip leader Wasserson only had another three big bets behind and moved back to more than eight and a half big bets.

Racener Scoops, Wasserson Low

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
John Racener
John Racener

Omaha Hi-Lo

Eric Wasserson raised from the cutoff and John Racener made the call from the button.

The flop brought {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Wasserson continued with a bet. Racener immediately two-bet and Wasserson called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Wasserson check-called a bet from Racener.

The river paired the board with the {k-Spades}. Wasserson checked and Racener fired in the final bullet.

Wasserson let his cards go. "Were hearts good?" asked Wasserson.

"Yeah," replied Racener.

"Did you have a low draw?" Wasserson followed up to complete silence.

"John's a man of very few words," noted Craig Chait.

Racener Takes From Gorodinsky

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Mike Gorodinsky raised and John Racener came along out of the big blind. The {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop was checked by Racener, who then called a bet by Gorodinsky. Both proceeded with the very same action on the {9-Clubs} turn albeit for a full bet and the {8-Hearts} river was checked.

Racener revealed the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a full house, eights over deuces, and regained the lead.

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Paul Sokoloff
Paul Sokoloff

Omaha Hi-Lo

Bryce Yockey raised the button into short stack Paul Sokoloff, who was in the big blind. Sokoloff three-bet and Yockey called for the former to then lead the {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. Yockey raised and Sokoloff moved all-in for 110,000 total to get called.

Paul Sokoloff: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Bryce Yockey: {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The {5-Clubs} turn opened a potential low but the {j-Diamonds} river secured the full double for Sokoloff.

Yeh Takes Another Hit

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

In a battle button versus small blind, Andrew Yeh took on Philip Long and the latter bet the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} turn for Yeh to call. On the {9-Hearts} river, Long bet again and Yeh reluctantly paid it off to muck when he was shown the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a straight.

Chait Wins the Pot?

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Craig Chait
Craig Chait

Limit Hold'em

Craig Chait opened with a raise from middle position, John Racener put in the raise from the button. Andrew Yeh called from the small blind and Chait called as well.

The flop brought {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} and all three players checked.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, Yeh led out with a bet before Chait went for the turn two-bet. Racener got out of the way and Yeh called.

The {q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Yeh checked it over. Chait went for the bet and Yeh called after thinking for a bit.

"Set of sixes?" Chait said with inflection.

"Question mark?" mocked Eric Wasserson.

"I'm Ron Burgundy?" quipped Chait.

Either way, Great Odin's Raven, he was taking that one down.

Wasserson Below a Million; Sokoloff Doubles

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Eric Wasserson raised from under the gun and called a three-bet by Mike Gorodinsky. He then check-called the {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop and {j-Hearts} turn when facing a bet by Gorodinsky before also checking the {6-Spades} on the river. Gorodinsky bet once more and Wasserson tank-called to muck upon being shown the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for queens and jacks.

One hand later, Paul Sokoloff was all-in for the last 130,000 with {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Wasserson looked him up in a blind battle with the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts} and failed to get there on the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} runout.

Ismael Bojang Eliminated in 9th Place ($38,220)

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Ismael Bojang

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

John Racener: {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}/{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Ismael Bojang {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}/{x-}{x-}{9-Spades}
Paul Sokoloff: {x-}{x-}/{7-Spades}{q-Hearts} - folded fifth street

John Racener completed with his seven showing and two players called, Paul Sokoloff and the short-stacked Ismael Bojang.

Racener continued with a bet on fourth and only Bojang made the call.

Racener would bet all remaining streets with Bojang calling all the way down. On seventh, Bojang had 90,000 remaining facing the bet from Racener. Knowing it meant his tournament life, Bojang thought for about a minute before calling it off.

"Tens up," announced Racener.

Bojang flashed a nine for two pair of his own before cards were mucked and he was eliminated.

Long Story Short: It's a Split Pot

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Philip Long: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {6-Diamonds}
Paul Sokoloff: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} / {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} / {10-Hearts}
Bryce Yockey: {x-}{x-} / {2-Clubs}{j-Spades} folded on fourth

Paul Sokoloff limped in and called when Philip Long completed, as did Bryce Yockey. Long bet on fourth to force out Yockey and Sokoloff sigh-called it off as they got he got the last of it in.

Both had equity to scoop even more so when Sokoloff hit a flush but fellow Brit Long made the low on the final card, too.

One hand later, it folded all the way to Ismael Bojang who joked "I don't know yet what I gonna do with the ace." He had the {a-Diamonds} showing and completed, John Racener folded his bring-in and Bojang tabled the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.
