Ronald Peterson Eliminated in 15th Place ($15,300)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Ronald Peterson
Ronald Peterson

James Jewell raised to 400,000 in the cutoff. Ronald Peterson called on the button and Massoud Eskandari also came along.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and action checked to Peterson who bet 600,000. Eskandari put in the raise to 2,000,000. Jewell folded. Peterson moved all in and Eskandari called covering him.

Ronald Peterson: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Massoud Eskandari: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Peterson needed a diamond if he was to keep his bracelet dreams alive but it didn't come as the turn was the {5-Clubs} and the river the {2-Hearts} which eliminated Peterson in 15th.

Poker Player Wins WSOP Main Event Satty in His Sleep...Literally

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
wsop.com
wsop.com

For most, the saying, "I could win that poker tournament in my sleep," is laughable at best. But not for Eric Goldstein, who fell asleep Wednesday night, and then woke up to discover he'd won an $80 satellite into the 2022 WSOP Main Event on WSOP.com.

Goldstein told PokerNews he forgot he was registered for the satellite, which only awarded one seat into poker's most prestigious annual tournament, a $10,000 buy-in event.

Marc Walter: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Jerry Zickert: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic race and the board came {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs} giving Walter the double up and leaving Zickert with less than five big blinds.

Eskandari Eliminates Bowers in Flip

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Massoud Eskandari raised to 160,000 in the button and was called by Eric Van Der Burg in the small blind. Joseph Bowers moved all in for 600,000 and Eskandari moved all in for 9,500,000. Van Der Burg folded.

Joseph Bowers: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Massoud Eskandari: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

It was a classic flip for Bowers tournament life but he was drawing near-dead on the flop of {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. The turn of the {j-Spades} gave Eskandari quads. The {7-Diamonds} was a non-factor.

Cooler Sends Olson Up and Michaels Out

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Bruce Olson bet 500,000 on the {10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop and Steven Michaels quickly moved in. Olson snapped and Michaels was at risk.

Steven Michaels: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Bruce Olson: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Both players held aces-up but Olson's was best with aces and tens. The turn {2-Hearts} and river {6-Diamonds} changed nothing as Michaels exited to the payout desk.

"Nice hand," said Michaels.
