Bakes Cooking Up A Stack

Level 17 : Limits 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Action was picked up on the turn in a hand between John Holley in early position and David "Bakes" Baker in the hijack.

On the 843K board, Holley checked over to Baker who bet and Holley called, checking the river dark.

The river 3 saw Baker bet and Holley sighed putting in a reluctant call. Baker turned over A1062 for the nut low and a flush which was good for the pot and Baker added to his growing stack.

A few hands later, Holley was eliminated and at another table Andrew Barber was eliminated as well.

Korn Takes From Lazarou

Level 17 : Limits 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Vasili Lazarou raised preflop from the button before calling the third bet of Andres Korn from the small blind.

The 10Q7 saw no bets come in the middle. The 3 turn and 8 river each saw Korn bet, with Lazarou coming along each time.

Korn turned over AJ72 for a pair of sevens with an eight-seven-three low. That was good to scoop the pot, as Lazarou showed his J442 for a pair of fours with an eight-seven-four low.

Tim Frazin
Tim Frazin

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

With the flop showing 7QQ, Blaz Zerjav bet from the small blind. Timothy Frazin, the big blind, tossed in a raise. Zerjav made the call, and heads-up action continued.

The 8 turn saw Zerjav check-call a bet from Frazin. Frazin bet again after Zerjav checked the K river, but this time Zerjav found a fold.

"Is that good?" asked Frazin, showing a Q. "Is that good?" he asked again, showing the K for a full house. "I only play the nuts," he told the table. "Nobody believes me!"
