Hashimoto Makes a Tricky Call

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Picking up the action on the river, Akira Hashimoto in late position was involved in a hand with Danny Wong in the big blind as well as a player in the cutoff. With the board reading 79742 action checked to the cutoff and he bet a chunky 32,000. Wong thought for quite some time before eventually deciding to fold while Hashimoto also did not act immediately. The Japanese player did end up making the call with A10 and was rewarded with the pot after his opponent turned over QJ for the missed flush draw.

Garcia Back in the Game

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Garcia found himself all in again, this time for 26,000 from the big blind. He was called by an opponent in the cutoff.

Ryan Garcia: AQ
Opponent: AJ

Garcia had his opponent dominated heading to the Q82 flop, which gave him top pair on a big lead in the hand. The J turn gave his opponent some outs, but Garcia made trips on the Q river to secure another double up.

"You had 7,000. Back in the game. Remember, if you win the Main Event you owe this table," a tablemate said.

"Oh, now you want to start talking about that," Garcia replied with a laugh.

Larson Tries for it All

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Thomas Larson had 91,000 in the middle from the cutoff and the button who already had 40,000 in, was in the tank. After about a minute the button called the extra 51,000.

The dealer fanned a flop of K104 and Larson jammed for 211,000. His opponent paused for only about five seconds before releasing his hand.

Larson let out a large breath of air and wiped his forehead as he pitched the cards into the muck. "Boy am I glad you didn't have king-king there."

The pot stood at 20,000 with two players looking at a board that read 7310Q.

Cary Katz checked the action over to the under-the-gun player who bet out for 9,500. Katz raised the bet to 45,000; an effective all-in as he'd left himself just 4,500 chips behind.

Katz's opponent went deep into the tank squirming over his decision before eventually folding 109 face up.

Kassouf Cashes In

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

A completed board of 83342 was spread in a pot between William Kassouf in the big blind and a player on the button. Kassouf made a bet of 15,500 and had his opponent in the tank while engaging in some of his patented speech play.

While the floor was overlooking if Kassouf broke any rules, his opponent ultimately made the call. Kassouf tabled K5 for the flush and raked in a sizable pot.

"Cooler," he uttered while stacking up his chips.
