Nguyen Flops the Nuts

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The pot stood at approximately 36,000 with three players looking at a board that read Q9K.

Both the player in the small blind and a player in early position checked the action over to Xuan Nguyen in the cutoff who bet out 12,000. The small blind raised to 26,000, the player in early position got out of the way and Nguyen made the call.

The 6 fell on the turn and the small blind slowed down. Action on Nguyen, he bet out 35,000. The small blind put Nguyen all in for approximately 20,000 chips more and Nguyen made the call.

The 10 river failed to pair the board and Nguyen's king-high straight took down this massive pot.
