Kyllon 'Em Dead

Up on the main feature table, an enormous pot sort of quietly erupted -- we caught up with Jens Kyllonen moving all in from the big blind position, the board reading {6-Hearts} {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}. Over to Jussi Nevanlinna who appeared to have been the initial aggressor -- and a swift fold sent the 115,000 pot over to Kyllonen.

Kyllonen: 170,000
Nevanlinna: 60,000

Minor Setback for Mercier

Jason Mercier appears to have absorbed a hit on the feature table. He's slipped to 179,800 from a previously reported 205,200. He's still well above the 92,800 average, however.

In Seat 9 of the feature table is the ever-popular David Docherty with 169,000. More fans that Man U, that lad.

Here Come the Girls

Leo Margets

One player who has passed under the radar somewhat today is future Mrs. Snoopy, Liz Lieu. Having started the day with 65,600, she's managed to increase her stack by 50 percent and now has over 90,000. She's not in easy company, however, as Lieu makes up a quartet of familiar faces that also includes fellow femme fatale Annette Obrestad. The 2007 Champ has 80,000 and is always dangerous.

Further along the balcony you also have Spanish WSOP hero Leo Margets. She just three-bet Keith Hawkins open of 2,500 to 9,000 to pick up a pot uncontested, and now has 45,000.

Nau More Sandra

Ms. Naujoks - no longer improving the visual environment of the Empire
Up on the main feature table, Sandra Naujoks got her last in with pocket {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades}, but Jussi Nevanlinna woke up with pocket {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and a bunch of blanks later, we lost the EPT Dortmund champ.

Board: {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {3-Hearts} {2-Spades} {A-Spades} -- note the lack of sevens

Damaged But Not Broeken

Noah Boeken is still not having a fantastic day -- he was down to around 18,000 when we strolled by his table last.

Nevertheless he clawed a few back as small blind Ashton Griffin raised and Boeken made the call out of the big blind.

They proceeded to check down the {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {7-Hearts} board and Boeken flipped over {7-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} with a silent and surly look on his face. It was good enough, though -- Griffin mucked, and Boeken made a tiny recovery to 23,500.
