The board read when Tom Dwan checked to his opponent Antti Pietarinen who bet 1,300. Dwan threw out a raise to 5,950 and that was enough to get his opponent to fold. Dwan is up to 25,000 chips and doing very well at the start of this tournament.

On the river the board read in a hand between Freddy Deeb and Ted Lawson. From the small blind Deeb had bet 2,700 with only 800 chips behind. "I've only got a lousy flush," Lawson stated as Deeb kept staring into the distance. "And I've got three diamonds as well. I think I have to call" Lawson added before he finally threw in the chips.
Lawson showed his and Deeb said, "I've got this," as he turned over , "And this" as he turned over for the best possible hand. "Why are you slowrolling me Freddy?," Lawson said to Deeb who raked in the pot. "Don't cry now Ted, i've doubled you up many times in the past".
Deeb and Lawson probably know each other for many years and a bit of needling has to be part of the game to keep it fun.

Will Failla's been having a killer year with a WPT titel and many more deep runs, but today it wasn't his day. We just asked his former table mates what happened and they told us the following.
Failla got it all-in pre flop with against for his remaining 6,400 chips against Naill Charlton and that didn't work out. It worked out perfectly for Charlton who's one of the big stacks in the room after almost three hours of play.
