Josephy Catches Up With O'Shea

We arrived at the table with a flop of {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} and Shawn Buchanan, John O'Shea and Cliff Josephy were having a fight. The action was checked through to Buchanan who bet 575. John O'Shea check-raised to 1,625, Josephy called and Buchanan folded. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and O'Shea bet 3,850 and Josephy called. The final card was the {4-Clubs}, and the board had now paired, and O'Shea slowed down with a check. Josephy bet 12,700 (which was full pot) and O'Shea folded.

Deeb Nearly Doubles

On the river the board read {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} in a hand between Freddy Deeb and Ted Lawson. From the small blind Deeb had bet 2,700 with only 800 chips behind. "I've only got a lousy flush," Lawson stated as Deeb kept staring into the distance. "And I've got three diamonds as well. I think I have to call" Lawson added before he finally threw in the chips.

Lawson showed his {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Deeb said, "I've got this," as he turned over {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}, "And this" as he turned over {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the best possible hand. "Why are you slowrolling me Freddy?," Lawson said to Deeb who raked in the pot. "Don't cry now Ted, i've doubled you up many times in the past".

Deeb and Lawson probably know each other for many years and a bit of needling has to be part of the game to keep it fun.

Adinolfi Gets a River Value Bet Out of Soulier

There was a limp in first position before Mario Adinolfi raised to 675 when next to act. Christophe Lesage called on the button and Fabrice Soulier/Nick Binger also called in the blinds.

Flop: {A-Spades} {K-Spades} {9-Spades}

All four players checked.

Turn: {J-Clubs}

Soulier bet 900 and Binger and Adinolfi both called.

River: {9-Hearts}

Soulier and Binger checked to Adinolfi and he bet 3,500. Soulier was next to act and after a two minute think, he made the call and Binger folded.

Failla Leaves Early

Will Failla's been having a killer year with a WPT titel and many more deep runs, but today it wasn't his day. We just asked his former table mates what happened and they told us the following.

Failla got it all-in pre flop with {K-}{K-}{J-}{10-} against {A-}{A-}{10-}{6-} for his remaining 6,400 chips against Naill Charlton and that didn't work out. It worked out perfectly for Charlton who's one of the big stacks in the room after almost three hours of play.
