Big Pot Goes Cantu's Way

Brandon Cantu had the button. He popped it up to 32,000 and Roger Hairabedian flung out calling chips.

The dealer tapped the table and produced a flop of {7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Hairabedian checked and Cantu continued for 38,000. Hairabedian called.

The {3-Diamonds} rolled off on fourth and Hairabedian rapped the table once again. Cantu moved 105,000 into the middle of the table and Hairabedian called without hesitation.

The {K-Hearts} struck the river. Hairabedian checked for a third time, prompting Cantu to bet 150,000. Hairabedian went into the tank for well over a minute before finally letting go of his hand.

Slow Play

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The first 15 minutes of this level has been very slow with no really significant pots. At least there's no arguments and controversy!

Level: 22

Blinds: 8,000/16,000

Ante: 2,000

Break Time

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The controversial, extended level has come to an end. Everyone needs 20 minutes to calm down.

Ruling in Favour of Cantu

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jack Effel came back and said that the footage showed that Roger Hairabedian did in fact check and subtly verbalized so.

Hairabedian had to take his bet back and the hand played on.

The atmosphere is very tense in the room right now.

More Controversy

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Brandon Cantu is unhappy again.

He and Roger Hairabedian saw a flop and Hairabedian checked out of turn. The turn was dealt and Hairabedian bet 75,000 when Cantu checked again. Cantu argued that Hairabedian checked out of turn again but the dealer and Hairabedian insisted he only lifted his hand and then said to Cantu that it was his turn to act.

A ruling was made against Cantu but he refused to accept it and called the dealer a liar and insane. The clock was paused and Jack Effel was called. After hearing everyone's point of view Effel was leaning towards ruling in favour of Cantu. No final ruling has been made yet as they are checking the footage from the cameras.

We are waiting for Effel to come back with news.

Controversy

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Another controversy has occurred during this heads up match. Play has been halted for the past 30 minutes while Jack Effel has been called to make a final ruling. Full details are coming soon.

Hairabedian Bets River

Brandon Cantu popped it up to 24,000 from the button and Roger Hairabedian called.

The flop brought {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and prompted both players to check. Fourth street was the {J-Clubs} and Hairabedian checked a second time. Cantu fired 40,000 and Hairabedian called.

The board completed with the {9-Diamonds} and Hairabedian took the initiative on this street with a bet of 60,000. Cantu released his cards and Hairabedian took the pot.

Hairabedian Put to the Test

Roger Hairabedian's stack has whittled down to the point where Brandon Cantu can exert maximum pressure.

Cantu opened to 24,000 before Hairabedian three-bet to 72,000. Cantu took a minute and announced he was all in. Hairabedian took two minutes and admitted defeat and folded.
