Official Day 2 Final Chip Counts

With one tiny correction to the chip counts as previously listed, the WSOP has now confirmed the players' tallies and released the official chip-count information in Event 41, $1,500 Mixed Hold'em. Mats Gavatin will arrive at the final table in the lead, stacked at 405,000 in chips. Here are your nine finalists:

From the "unofficial" final table to the official final table, we're done for the night. We began the day with 98 players and scurried down to the final three tables rather quickly before things tightened up significantly. After a few long spurts of not much action, the final nine are set.

Todd Witteles Eliminated in 10th Place ($12,473)

Limit Hold'em:

Opening the action from late position, Michael Chu started things with a raise. Todd Witteles called from the big blind.

The flop brought . Witteles checked, and Chu continued out with a bet. Witteles check-raised, adding the extra bet and putting himself all in and at risk of elimination. Chu quickly called, and the hands were shown down:

The on the turn actually gave Witteles a few extra outs, but the river was a blank, and "Dan Druff" gathered his things and headed to the rail in 10th Place.

That elimination signals the end of play for the day, as our final table is set, ready to return fresh tomorrow.

Justin St. John Eliminated in 11th Place ($12,473)

No-Limit Hold'em:

From the cutoff, David Sorger came in raising. Justin St. John was seated in the small blind with a short stack, and he moved all in for approximately 70,000. Sorger made the call.

The flop hit St. John, coming . Sorger was well behind, and the on the turn was no help. He managed to re-draw out though with just one card to come. One of the three remaining winners, the hit the river, and Sorger erupted in joy. His hit on the river knocks Justin St. John out in 11th place.

Chris Rentes was at it again. This time he raised from the cutoff to 16,000. Sam Hiatt reraised from the button to 48,500 and was all in. Rentes made the call with . Hiatt showed .

The flop was not what Hiatt wanted to see, not one, but two aces... . The turn came the and the river the . One of the two remaining jacks didn't fall and Hiatt was shipped out in 12th place.
