Julien Nuijten Eliminated in 9th Place (€50,000)

Marc Goodwin opened with a raise to 120,000 and action folded over to Julien Nuijten. Nuijten moved all in for 750,000 total. Goodwin wasted only a brief moment before making the call.

Goodwin was dominated when he revealed his to Nuijten's , but after the flop rolled off things flip-flopped in an instant. Goodwin looked suitably ashamed with the situation while good friend Michael Greco stood chuckling on the rail. Nuijten sat motionless while he awaited the turn and river.

The turn brought the , but not what Nuijten needed. The river finished things off with the and that was it. Nuijten was eliminated in 9th place.

Kapalas Doubles Through a Slightly Embarrassed Lapossie

Matt Lapossie did his favorite thing and raised it up preflop; this time Georgios Kapalas pushed for a total of 365,000. Lapossie considered it, and then, with a sheepish grin, he called.

Matt Lapossie surprised no-one by raising, but this time Toni Ojala pushed all in for 629,000. Lapossie eyed up the reraise and appeared briefly to consider calling, but in the end he laid it down.

Phillips Bluffs His Way Back to the Top

Carter Phillips slipped to second place on the leaderboard and opened to 95,000. Matt Lapossie called in the next seat and then action got over to Marc Goodwin. Goodwin put in a three-bet to 325,000. Phillips four-bet to 620,000 and Lapossie quickly folded. Goodwin made the call and the pot sat at 1.431 million.

The turn brought the and things got interesting. Phillips fired 700,000 and sent Goodwin into the tank. Goodwin counted out the chips for a call, but didn't put them in the pot just yet. About a minute went by and then out of nowhere Santiago Terrazas Ambite called the clock on Goodwin.

Stunned and visibly irritated, Goodwin looked at Ambite and said, "Good luck to you, sir." A few moments later, he mucked face up. Phillips rolled over eight high with for a massive bluff and scooped the pot. Just like that, Phillips is back on top.

Lapossie Takes One From Ambite

Santiago Terrazas Ambite raised to 144,000 and Matt Lapossie called. The flop came down and Ambite checked. Lapossie seized the opportunity and fired 148,000. His bet prompted a fold from Ambite and Lapossie scooped the pot.
