Only thirty seven remain out of the very respectable seventy-nine who coughed up the €25,000 entry fee. With such a large buy-in, the prize pool will be as juicy as bigger tournaments. The board ran out
to give a big pot to Alaei, whose stack has gone nowhere but up all day.
Devilfish raised to 4,000 and Michael Binger made it 14,000 to go from the cutoff. Eastgate flatted on the button, Devilfish decided against the call, and they went heads up to the flop.

Binger checked and Eastgate shoved -- and a snap-call from Binger spelled the end for the WSOP champ.

Lichtenberger raised from the cutoff and Romanello called from the button, as did both blinds. They saw a
flop and Lichtenberger checked. Romanello bet 11,000 and the blinds got out of the way; back to Lichtenberger, and he called.Both players checked the
turn, and Lichtenberger checked the 
river as well, at which point Romanello bet 45,000. A puzzled look from Lichtenberger, closely followed by a fold, and Romanello is up to around 150,000.
, William Thorson bet out and picked up one caller. He then found Helppi calmly sliding a big stack of blue 5k chips over the line, enough to cover both of Helppi's shorter-stacked adversaries. It took some dwelling time, but both players decided to let that one go. Helppi, by the way, was as impassive to be as possible while still breathing, waiting for their decisions. His reflective aviators on, he sat totally still and I half expected him to pull out a picture of John Connor.

After doubling up short stacks several times, the final chunk came out of his stack and went to a back-from -the-dead Peter Eastgate, whose
saw him double yet again through Demjan. Eastgate is now up to 90k!Now Demjan will have to perform the same magic trick as the WSOP champ to have any hope of coming back tomorrow.
