Adam Hendrix Closes Out First WSOP Circuit Ring; Jeremy Becker Takes Second Place

Adam Hendrix WSOPC

In rare fashion, Jeremy Becker was unable to close out a tournament heads-up, but Adam Hendrix did in a $3,300 buy-in World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) event at Horseshoe Las Vegas.

For Hendrix, who has over $6 million in The Hendon Mob cashes, he took home $73,579. And he earned it by beating out some tough competition at the final table, and not just Becker.

Hendrix Earns the Win

Event #15 of the Circuit stop on the Strip attracted 81 entries, creating a prize pool of $243,000. The final table featured a number of big name pros, including longtime Las Vegas tournament crusher Eric Baldwin, who took seventh place for $9,001. Matthew Wantman, another skilled pro, finished in fourth place for $21,194.

But the attention centered around an epic heads-up match between a high stakes star (Hendrix) and one of the most talked about Las Vegas tournament players over the past year (Becker).

Becker entered the final table with the chip lead, but couldn't hold it against Hendrix, who won his first Circuit ring in his 36th cash. He also has 71 World Series of Poker (WSOP) cashes, but hasn't yet won a bracelet.

Hendrix showed up for the no-limit hold'em tournament decked out in a University of Tennessee basketball jersey, ahead of the Volunteers Elite Eight matchup against Purdue on Sunday.

As for Becker, it was his second runner-up finish in a Circuit event in just over a week. He also took second place in Event #1: $600 Big 30k Stack for $19,083, and now has 69 top two tournament finishes since 2021.

Becker is getting warmed up for his summer crossbook prop bet against Landon Tice that could either be quite costly or extremely profitable, depending on how he runs.
