Up or Down

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Melanie Weisner managed to stay afloat in the High Roller when her {A-}{K-} doubled against her opponent's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} . A queen on the flop was counteracted by a king on the turn, but Weisner is still very short indeed in chip terms.

Albert Sapiano is flying high, up to 159,800 and looking imperious on the Chris Moorman.Luke Hayward table, although Kara Scott [120,000) has just arrived after the table chop brought us from three tables to two.

We have lost Teddy Sheringham in the last level, but still have two more levels before close of play tonight.

Moorman Moves on Stancu

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Chris Moorman has just taken the upper hand in a battle for table captaincy. With just 17 players left, he's moving into a position wehre he can threaten the leaders after a fascinating hand.

In what became a drawn out psychological battle, Moorman c-bet on a flop of {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} before Vasile Stancu called. The turn of {6-Hearts} led to a stare-down between the pair. Moorman bet 26,500 and was eventually tank-called. On the river {4-Hearts}, Moorman bet 55,500 and that third barrel seemed to pressure Stancu into a world of pain. He eventually let the hand go.

Ross Rules as Zarco Exits

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Javier Zarco is out of the £2,000 High Roller after busting from being all-in pre-flop. He was all-in with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and was called by Jason Ross, who flipped over {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} . Zarco stood up.

"That's bad luck, man," quipped Antonio Esfandiari, being massaged to within an inch of consciousness and nudging the chip lead with 230,000 chips.

"I'll wait until the turn." retorted Zarco.

The flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} gave Zarco additional outs with the pair of queens raising ... false hope. The {K-Hearts} on the turn did make him stand up, but he stayed on his feet through wishing his opponents luck and didn't even see the {5-Diamonds} river hit the felt.

We are down to 21 players, with three more levels to go after this one.

Dominik Nitsche Out with Queens

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Dominik Nitsche has not run very well tonight. He's just busted his third bullet in the £2,000 High Roller with pocket queens. The three-time WSOP bracelet winner was all-in pre-flop for 25,500 with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and was up against Elias Christodoulou with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The flop of {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{K-Hearts} kept Nitsche ahead, but he was standing up out of his seat, and would not sit back down after the {2-Hearts} turn. The {9-Spades} river meant nothing, and the polite Nitsche shook hands with his opponents and wished fellow 888Poker professionals Melanie Weisner and Kara Scott the best of luck.
