Bastian Ramspeck Eliminates Two Players

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

A player raised to 1,200 from under the gun, and from the very next position another player moved all in for 4,275. It folded to Bastian Ramspeck in the hijack who called, as did the initial raiser.

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the initial raiser moved all in for 6,525. Ramspeck took his time but eventually called.

The first all in player showed {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, the second all in player showed {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} but Ramspeck had the best hand with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the river the {2-Diamonds}, and Ramspeck was the very grateful recipient of two players' chips.

Where We're Going, We Don't Need Names

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

It's part and parcel in the poker world, that in certain jurisdictions players will have nicknames printed on their media tickets. Sometimes they reveal a bit more than they intend to...

In this hand three players saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. It checked to the third player who put out a 5,000-value chip and announced a bet of 2,500. There was one caller, and as the bettor's change was being arranged, he said that he had said 4,500. However, multiple people at the table stated that they heard 2,500, and so the bet stood at 2,500.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and it checked to the same player, who put out another 5,000-value chip and said very clearly: "4,500".

The remaining player thought before moving all in for 26,000, covering his opponent.

We don't understand Czech, but what we did here was "Something, something Full House?" followed by the player pointing to his cards and saying in German "Aces. Are Aces not good?"

Eventually time was called and the player folded. We took a glance at the player raking in the pot's media ticket, and perhaps got an insight into what he had. The name on the ticket was: Squadouche.

Players Chipping Up

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Several players are adding a number of orange 5000-value chips to their stacks as the day progresses. Players start with 30,000 chips, and the average has already crept up to just over 36,500. One of those adding several of those chips to his stack was Sergey Topchiy.

Four players were still active on a board of {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Topchiy bet 1,700, getting one caller.

On the river, which was the {7-Hearts} Topchiy checked to his opponent who checked behind. Topchiy winced as he showed {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for top two-pair, and raked in the pot.

Daniel Schatzberger Secures a Double Up

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Preflop Daniel Schatzberger raised and was three-bet. Schatzberger called and the pair saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

His opponent checked, Schatzberger bet and his opponent called. On the turn, which was the {7-Clubs}, his opponent check-called Schatzberger's bet of 7,300, and the pair saw a river of the {7-Spades}, putting a full house on the board.

Schatzberger's opponent checked, and the Austrian player moved all in for his remaining 11,125. His opponent eventually threw in one chip to indicate a call.

Schatzberger showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and his opponent sighed showing {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} as he counted out the chips.

Yesterday evening saw the first conclusion of a side event here at 888Live Rozvadov. The Breeze was a €100 tournament with a €10,000 guarantee. However, that guarantee was smashed as 175 entries came together forming a prizepool of over €14,000.

And at the end of it, the winner was Nikolay Krylov who took home €3,391 and a special trophy commemorating his win. Also making the final table was Oliver Knoll, who made advanced from Day 1A of the Opening Event on Thursday night. Congratulations to Nikolay and everyone who made the money in this tournament!

Norberto Rodriguez Gets in on the Action

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Three players saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and it checked to the player in position who bet 1,650. He got two callers including Norberto Rodriguez.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and this time Rodriguez lead for 2,400. The two remaining players both called.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Rodriguez checked, as did the second player, to the player in position who bet 4,700. Rodriguez called and the remaining player got out of the way.

Rodriguez showed {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and took down the pot with top pair, as his opponent flashed two clubs for a missed flush draw, and mucked his cards.
