There were a total of 102 entries on Day 1A of the Opening Event of the 888Live Rozvadov Festival, and 19 have survived to play on the final day on Sunday. The festival got underway at 6 p.m. local time, and the tables were quickly humming with the activity of players, some of whom won their seats in the afternoon's turbo satellite.

The second 888Live Festival, following the success of the London leg last year, comes with a guarantee of over €600,000, with €150,000 of that coming in this event. The 19 players are all still in with a chance of winning some big money come the end of the tournament, but will have to sweat through the remaining three flights to find out just how much they stand to win!

At the end of today's 15 levels of play, it is Bartosz Szafraniec who stands atop the pile of players who are advancing. He amassed a whopping 407,500 chips. Behind him is Tariq Ulla (345,000), Adam Jaguscik (251,500), Elena (203,000) and Patrick Sarca (195,000)

Szafraniec was busy all day, including doubling up against the player who amassed the second most chips Tariq Ulla. In one hand Ullah raised from the button and Szafraniec called from the small blind.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Szafraniec checked. Ullah bet 4,800 but Szafraniec re-raised to 12,000. Ullah then moved enough chips forward to put his opponent all in.

Szafraniec called and showed {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for top pair, and Ullah showed {10-Spades}{5-Spades} for ten-high. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river the {a-Diamonds} meaning Szafraniec doubled up, one of many he secured over the course of the day.

Here are the full chip counts at the end of Day 1A.

Tariq Ullah Busts One

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Tariq Ullah raised to 9,500 and the player in the cutoff three-bet to 26,500. Ullah called and the pair saw a flop of {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Ullah checked and his opponent shoved for 116,500. Ullah took off his headphones and ran his fingers through his hair trying to figure out. He asked how much it was and then counted out his stack. He had his opponent covered and eventually called.

His opponent flipped over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Ullah {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. The board completed {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Ullah let out a victory cry as he raked in a huge pot as the level drew to a close.

Adam Jagucik Finishing Strongly

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Adam Jagucik opened from middle position to 6,500. The button called and the big blind, who had open-shoved from under the gun the previous hand moved all in again for around 35,000.

Jagucik then re-shoved for around 45,000 and the button folded. Jagucik showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and was ahead of his opponent who held {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Jagucik moved up to around 90,000. The average is around 110,000, so he has some work to do with a level and a half remaining in the day.
