Patrick Sarca Busts One

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

On a flop of {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} Patrick Sarca checked to two opponents. The first bet 2,000 and the other called. Sarca then raised to 6,500. The original bettor called and the other folded.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Sarca lead for 16,000. His opponent called.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Sarca moved all in for 26,000 into a pot of just over 40,000. His opponent thought for a while before committing his chips to the pot.

Sarca showed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a set of fives, while his opponent had rivered two-pair holding {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

All's Well That Ends Well

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

A minor incident just occurred towards the end of Level 5. The action went as follows.

The player under the gun limped, and there were four callers including the button and both blinds.

The flop came {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Three players checked and the player in the hijack bet 1,000. The button folded and the small blind called. The big blind then folded and action was on the player who initially limped.

He reached for a stack of blue 1,000 chips and moved his hand forward, dropping a chip onto the felt in front of him. However, this was soon followed by another one. The dealer immediately announced raise. The player removed his sunglasses and spoke with the dealer before accepting the ruling.

The action was now on the player in the hijack who immediately re-raised to 8,000. Such was the speed with which he re-raised, the player in the small blind had his blue 1,000 chip ready to throw into the middle. He laughed as he avoided a potentially costly misstep as he folded his hand. The player who made the error eventually folded.

The three players involved then proceeded to engage in rapid-fire Czech and German both with one another and the dealer. The reporter only understood approximately 60% of this, but judging from the atmosphere as the next hand was dealt, they all seemed to understand and respect the situation.

Jalba Eusebiu Makes the Call

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The player in early position raised to 700, and there were four callers including Jalba Eusebiu on the button.

The five players then saw a flop of {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and it checked around.

On the turn, which was the {j-Spades}, three players checked and a player fired a bet of 2,025. Eusebiu called on the button, as did two other players.

The river was the {q-Diamonds}, and the player who was first to act mucked his cards, which elicited a chuckle from a couple of his tablemates. It checked to the aggressor on the previous street who bet 4,100. Eusebiu called, and then other players folded.

Eusebiu watched as his opponent showed {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for ace-high, and the Romanian turned over {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, with his two-pair good enough to take down the pot.

"I thought you had a monster!" remarked one of the players in the hand to the player with ace-high, and they let out a wry smile.

Earlier today it was announced that Parker "TonkaaaaP" Talbot, one of Twitch's hottest poker streamers, is to join Team 888. Talbot was already scheduled to appear later this week at the 888Live Festival in Rozvadov to commentate alongside David Tuchman, but this announcement means that he will be streaming action from 888poker at least five days a week, as well as representing the site at their many live events around the globe.

Talbot said that he was a big fan of 888poker, as he plays a large percentage of his online volume there.

“When presented with the opportunity to become an 888poker Ambassador, it became apparent that this could turn into something very exciting!” said Talbot, who has streamed on Twitch and neverlucky.tv for the past 13 months.

15 Minute Break

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Players are going on their first 15 minute break of the evening. The average stack is just shy of 33,000. A reminder that play is scheduled for 15 thirty minute levels, finishing at around 2.30am local time.

'Lycos' Eliminates One

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Bartosz Szafraniec raised from early position to 600, and got four callers.

The flop came {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The player in the small blind, known simply as 'Lycos', checked to the player in the big blind who moved all in for 3,400.

Szafraniec called, as did Lycos. The pair checked down a turn of {q-Clubs} and then {k-Spades}.

The all in player shook his head, flinging {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} down and getting to his feet having missed his draw. Szafraniec also revealed {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and all that remained was for Lycos to show {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and scoop the pot and bust another player.

With just under a minute left in the fourth level of the day, there are currently 61 players left from 67 entries.
