A short-stacked Michael Guzzardi was just eliminated from the tournament. He went all in from early position and was called by Cole Swannack in the cut-off.

The board ran out , and although Guzzardi had a couple of outs on the turn, the river would not help, as he was eliminated in 17th place, collecting NZ$5,175.
We arrived at the table with the board showing . Monica Eastick was first to act, and checked. Emile Gissaud then bet out 47,000, before he was faced with a quick re-raise to 125,000 from Eastick. He called, and both players saw the fall on the turn.
Eastick almost beat the turn card to the felt, announcing all in. Gissaud sat back, and lifted the cards up off the table, starring at them. He then slammed them back on the table, triggering Eastick to show her . She had thought that Gissaud had folded, and when she realised he hadn’t, quickly retrieved the card, and turned it over.
Gissaud then went into the tank for what seemed like an eternity. He eventually folded, tabling the . We’re sure that Gissaud saw Eastick’s card, but now we can’t be to certain. Either way, Eastick increases her chip-stack as she progressos towards the final table.
Brendon Ng opened the pot with a bet, before Pravin Harji moved all in from the small blind, for an additional 106,000 in chips. Ng tanked for a minute before calling, and both players tabled their cards.
Harji:
Ng:
The window card all but sealed the hand, as Harji made trips, as the board ran out , to see him double to 260,000 in chips. Ng now sits as the smallest stack with 42,000 in chips.
The action started with Jie Gao opening to 15,500, before facing a raise to 28,000 in chips from Andre Nunes-Carreira. He sat there for a minute, before eventually calling to see the flop fall . Gao checked again, as Nunes-Carreira placed in a continuation bet of 28,000. Gao counted out a raise, and placed it in, totalling 65,000. Nunes-Carreira folded the hand, much to the delight of Gao, who slammed the table in excitement.
On a flop reading , Angie Fitzgerald checked her option. Slav Sheynin did the same, as both watched Andre Nunes-Carreira bet out 14,000. Fitzgerald called, then watched Sheynin raise to 48,000. Nunes-Carreira then announced re-raise, putting in the smallest amount possible, 82,000. Fitzgerald had enough, announcing all in, for an additional 68,000 in chips. It brought a snap-fold from Sheynin, as Nunes-Carreira could only laugh, open folding , for a bluff.
“Did I wince or something?” asked Fitzgerald. “Well I had a set,” she proclaimed, as she tabled the .
The hand started with Slav Sheynin opening to 15,000. Leang Kang then moved all in for his remaining 41,500 in chips, which was called by Patrick Healy. Sheynin also called, to see the flop come out queen-high. All three players checked, as the turn was shown. Healy bet out 30,000 which was called by Sheynin, before betting out 85,000 on the river, which was called.
Healy tabled for a queen-high straight, as Sheynin mucked. Kang stood up from his chair, tabling , as he made his way out the room.
The action started with Angie Fitzgerald moving all in for her remaining 64,000 in chips. Xiaodong Xia deliberated for a moment, before making the call. The rest of the table folded, and the cards were tabled.

Fitzgerald would need some help as the , missed her completely. The on the turn gave her a better two pair, and it stayed that way when the fell on the river.
“Do I win?” asked Fitzgerald, confusing herself as the board paired once again.
The dealer assured her she won, by pushing her the pot. She moves up to 150,000 in chips as Xia slips down to exactly the same amount.
