One of the two remaining Razavi brothers just lost a serious pot against Ben Savage. Savage raise pre flop to 800 and Ismaeel Razavi called from the button. The player in the big blind called as well.
The flop came down and Savage bet 1,500. Only Razavi called, and the turn brought the . This time Savage checked and Razavi bet 3,200. Savage made the call which brought out the river.
Savage checked once more and Razavi fired out 7,800. Savage tanked for a bit and made the call with for a full house. Razavi didn't have it and mucked his cards. Savage is up to 34,000 while Razavi dropped back down to just over the starting stack.
Aussie Millions Main Event champion Oliver Speidel is no longer with us. He lost his final chips with pocket kings, and Tony Hachem explained what happened.
Speidel raised pre flop and found one caller. The flop brought out and after a bet and a raise the money went in. Speidel was up against a flush draw, and a third spade hit on the river.
Speidel's tournament run was short lived, as he didn't make it into the second break.
Yesterday Joe Hachem showed up after the fourth level of play and amassed a huge 111,800-chip stack within a few levels. His brother Tony joined the action today and he's trying a similar stunt. Tony sat down after the third level and managed to get himself up to 33,000 already.
Tony came close to a very big score this year at the WSOP when he finished 10th in the $10,000 6-Max event for $75,299. This event was ultimately won by October Nine finalist Greg Merson who took home $1,136,197. Tony's biggest result came back in 2011 when he finished 37th in the WSOP Main Event for just under $200,000.
In a blind battle Luke McLean just found himself in a very good spot to gather some chips. McLean held versus the player in the big blind who looked very disappointed as he turned over .
The flop brought and McLean seemed rather safe. But then the on the turn hit and his opponent took the lead. The river brought the and McLean paid off the 8,550 chips his opponent had.
McLean is back down to around the starting stack at a table with two other very tough opponents. Liam O'Rourke has gathered around 46,000 while Joel Feldman dropped a bit, but is still on 40,000 chips.
