Easy Come, Easy Go for Saab

Minutes after reclaiming the tournament chip lead with about 230,000 chips, David Saab gave them right back to Brian Kang. The two played a raised pot preflop and took a flop of {J-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. Kang checked to Saab, who bet 8,000. Kang then came back over the top of Saab with a check-raise to 24,000. Saab, standing out of his seat, surveyed the situation and then shrugged.

"All in?" he asked. "I'm all in." Kang snap-called with {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and was in commanding lead over Saab's {4-Spades} {7-Spades}. After the turn and river were both aces, Saab paid out a total of 77,400 to double Kang up.

One-Outer Busts Bui

Lily Out
Lily Out
Lily Bui has been sent to the rail in unfortunate circumstances just as the final three tables were formed.

Bui got her last chips in with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} against the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} of Dan Schreiber but after an opponent mentioned he folded a queen, the board ran out {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} to give Schreiber the pot and send Bui over to the 3-Card Poker table.

Three Tables Left Means It's Time to Redraw

With the elimination of James Suen, there's been a redraw for seats. Once each of the remaining players is comfortably situated in his or her new seat, we'll compile a list of the seating assignments.

Sixteen of the remaining twenty-four players will make the money.

Suen Silenced By Saab

James Suen
James Suen
James Suen opened with a raise to 5,000 from the cutoff, before David Saab bumped it up to 12,000 from the small blind. Suen quickly moved all in and Saab insta-called.

Saab: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Suen: {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

"You were making a move on me!?!?" exclaimed Saab, amongst a constant barrage of shouting as the board was dealt out {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Suen claimed a straight, celebrated with his entourage and amongst the confusion, yelling and excitement it seemed that he nearly had the pot pushed towards him. However eventually everyone settled down, Saab raked in the chips and Suen was sent to the rail.

Tasaka Recovers With Aces

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and in a battle of the blinds, James Suen fired out a bet of 7,000 from the small blind before Yoshihiro Tasaka min-raised to 14,000 from the big blind. Suen made the call.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and both players slowed down and checked. The river brought the {6-Hearts} and Suen led out for 11,000. Tasaka made the call.

Suen sheepishly revealed {5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for bottom pair as Tasaka showed a very attractive {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} to take the pot. Tasaka is back up to 150,000 with Suen falling to 45,000.

Vujevic Cripples, Then Eliminates Carron

The battles of the coin flips continue. Robert Vujevic opened for 4,000 before Patrick Carron reraised all in for roughly 30,000. When action folded back to Carron, he quickly called all in for 17,500. His {10-Clubs} {10-Spades} was up against Carron's {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} and prevailed when the board ran out jack-high. He moved to roughly 40,000 in chips, while Carron is now on life support with just 11,000.

Just a few hands later, Carron and Vujevic were at it again. The chips were all in preflop, with Carron's {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} in good shape against Vujevic's {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds}. The board did not cooperate, however, and Carron was sent to an early dinner. He is out.

Yeung Survives

A short-stacked Kwok Yeung has found a much needed double up. When the action folded to him on the button Yeung pushed all in for his last 7,100 and Diwei Huang spread the pot, did some maths and made the call from the big blind.

Yeung: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Huang: {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Yeung stays alive!

Flippaments Everywhere

Another hand, another flip. Lily Bui open-raised all in for about 20,000 and was called by Masayuki Nagata. Nagata had the better hand with {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}, but was up against two overcards -- {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}. The dealer took excruciating seconds to spread the {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} flop, revealing a pair of jacks for Bui. They held up on the {4-Hearts} turn and {5-Hearts} river. Nagata was crestfallen, but retains 50,000 in chips.
